Raven hesitated for a moment. Instinct told him this was a bad idea. He didn't know this girl, the sound by all means could have been something she planned to get him to go along with some plan of hers. Then again he reminded himself that he was supposed to be acting more trusting towards other people now.
"I suppose I wouldn't mind some company." he told her. "Better to have two pairs of eyes open than just one. Though I wouldn't mind a fight with a demon, I'd much rather put that off unless it's really necessary." He smiled again. friend he thought. she called me a friend. Rissy would be shocked. He suddenly laughed out loud. Hoping not to frighten Kensune he looked at her. "Just be careful though. My.... companion tends to have a bit of a jealous side to her. She'll be fine once she gets to know you. She won't give you any trouble though. If anything I'm more likely to get hit because I'm late getting to the village."

Raven's laugh made Kensune jump a little, she wasn't expecting it. But she was glad he could laugh, he looked as if he didn't do it very often. So his companion was a girl, and one of who has a jealous side. That was sweet, she couldn't wait to meet her. Kensune felt like this might be a start to a good adventure. One that she had been waiting years for, and she smiled again thinking of the situation. "I am happy you don't mind, and I understand... I hope she doesn't mind me!?" Kensune on that note, walked over to the tree roots she had been curled up in. And proceeded to pick up her small sack, and hug it to her chest. She would have been very sad if she had left it. It contained all she had, and all that reminded her of a better time with her mother. Checking that she hadn't dropped anything, she returned to Raven and started leading the way to the village. "Well, if your late, we better get going." she smiled big, trying to be goofy. She was excited, a friend. Maybe two new friends, what a turn of events. And she thought she would be alone and out of place the rest of her life. She waited for Raven to start following, and hoped they had great things in store for them. (I really want Kensune to meet Marissa! And maybe some day, they can meet Kai! or )

"You'll be okay with going to the village then?" he asked her. "When they see us they might attack. I don't wish to cause them any harm but at the same time I can't just sit back and let myself be attacked."
He hoped he did not sound cruel. Survival was one of the important things Raven had learned growing up. After the death of his parents when the people of the neighboring villages turned him away he sometimes would steal food from villages and houses in order to feed his sister. At those times Raven would often forgo eating himself so that he could ensure she had what she needed. If he got caught, the villagers would often beat him with clubs or sticks, but he would take the hits. Better that then turning his claws against people who were only defending what was theirs. That was a long time ago though. Both of them knew how to fight. Both with swords and with their unique powers.
"She wont mind you. She used to be friends with a girl like you back in that town I told you about earlier. She gets along with people well. She's just a little over protected when it comes to me. Don't worry, as I said if anyone is in any real danger from her it's me. I hope the village isn't too far away in that case."
(I think Kensune will love her. She is a very interesting person if not a little devious. I already have her intro planned out.)

"It isn't, just follow me." she blinked and started walking. It in deed wasn't that far, and she could only imagine the villagers faces when she came walking back through their town again. This time with another demon, with wings no less. "May I ask, what is your companion's name?" she thought it important she know. So she didn't look clueless, and stuck up.
It didn't take very long at all to reach the village, and by the hour it was quiet as expected. There were only a few men out, but they were on the other side. So it was good timing, and they wouldn't be chased out right away if that was what to happen. The village was little, maybe 20 villagers lived in it. You could tell it didn't have any well off merchants around. It was just a over all peaceful village. "So, where are we to meet her?"
(Sorry, really short. Next one will be longer, trying to transition scenes)

Raven was about to say that they should go look around the outskirts of the village where he had planned to meet Merissa when a white blur appeared from nowhere knocking him clean off his feet. In that moment a young woman had him pinned to the ground. She had long white hair and red eyes. The woman appeared to be in her early twenties and was dressed in the clothing the demon hunters of the area wore nowadays, complete with a set of thigh-high boots. She was pinning Raven to the ground with one foot, a sword in her hand pointed at his throat.
"Got you!" She exclaimed joyously grinning down at him. Raven's eyes narrowed. "Yes you did. Mind telling me why you chose to ambush me again?" he asked her in a calm yet flat voice.
"A sneak attack is the best way to catch your enemies unaware." The girl lectured. "It gives you the immediate advantage and it's your quickest shot at victory." she told him matter-oh-factly.
"You always love to throw my lessons back at me, don't you Merissa?"
"That's my job isn't it big brother?" Merissa sheathed her sword and extended a hand to help Raven up. "By the way, your very late. I almost was going to start looking for you myself when you came." She grinned "You might say I took advantage of an easy opportunity.
Raven sighed. Typical Rissy. "There's someone I want you to meet." He gestured towards Kensune. "This is Kensune. I met her in the forest a while back. She knows the area and it's people quite well. She seemed interested in helping me. Kensune this is my sister Merissa. Excuse her personality. She tends to have an excess of it." Merissa glared at her brother and punched him almost playfully in the arm."
"I also happened to have taken you down with a single attack!" she boasted before turning to Kensune. "Ah, but you must forgive me. I did not expect Raven to be bringing company. Had I of known he was not alone I would have not attacked him as fiercely as I did." Raven made a noise as if to suggest he was not as badly beaten as she had made out. Merissa smiled and put an arm around her brothers shoulders. "But I am glad he is opening himself up to other people. It's good to see he finally can make friends. It's nice to meet you Kensune."

Kensune had jumped at the sudden blur, and her eyes widened as she look the white haired girl from head to toe. She had a lot going on it seemed, and after a moment she swallowed a hard lump in her throat. She then smiled at the chemistry of their relationship. This girl reminded her of Ayame. The way she carried herself, yes very much like her adopted wolf sister. She smiled, and waited as they carried out their conversing.
"And it's nice to meet you Merissa. I have to say, I love your boots!" those boots had caught her attention right away. They were interesting, and fit Merissa very well. Kensune couldn't help but have a big smile on her face. Raven and Merissa were going to be very interesting company, indeed. But she had longed for some, and she got her wish. It was always funny to her how things happened in her life, one minute she is resting. The next a demon falls down from a tree and wakes her. Now she had two new allies, and friends. Whom she would have never thought to have before. She was pleased, and thankful.

Merissa smiled. "Why thank you. They were a gift from a village chieftain after we helped them get rid of a group of bandits that had been terrorizing and robbing the area. They're quite comfy and very good for kicking things. She feigned a kick at Raven's head. Raven spun and grabbed her foot causing her to loose balance. He quickly grabbed her arm and pulled her upright, steading her.
"Oh come on I was just teasing you." she huffed at her brother. "I don't think we would like it here very much though. The people here seem to be troubled by demons in the area. Though they don't exactly go out and kill them, they do sometimes go out and hunt minor demons for food and other resources."
Raven nodded. "Kensune told me as much." He turned to the fox-girl. "I guess that means we're going to be sticking together a little while longer if you don't mind. Do you have any idea of any place good we could stay for a few days at least?" They needed supplies too but that could come later. They had spent a good fifteen or so years sleeping under the stars and living off the land. Another night under them wouldn't hurt.

"I have family of sorts near by, if you wouldn't mind going there." she would not go back to the forest. Not until she knew what was in them, as to which she assumed was looking for her or Raven. "I don't mind, it could be nice having company!" Kai, and the northern tribe were only an hour or so away. Or if they didn't want to go too far away, there was a shallow cave just over the hill to the north. She had stayed there many a time, and it would be clean and comfy for the three of them. "Or we can stay at one of my usual places just over that ways." Kensune pointed in the correct direction, and waited to see what her new friends wanted to do next.

"I think it would be good to meet some of your family." Merissa replied. "After all you got to meet ours." She was keen on finding out about Kensune. She seemed nice enough and if Raven, Mr.TrustNoOne seemed to be okay with her than she would be too. Still she would be observant all the same. She knew Raven would be too. Her brother nodded in approval.
"Where do they live?" he asked her. "If it's too far we could always stop by your place first if you like."

"It's not that far, and I know a good way to go. Won't have to worry about running into any trouble on the way." she would take them the way she always went. Not many knew it, and that's what made it the best way. "When you guys are ready, I will warn you though. My family, some of them can be... well a pain" Kensune hoped Koga wasn't going to be there, he was the biggest pain of all. But knowing the tribe, Koga was there. Ayame would keep him in line though, so there was that.
Kensune looked at Marissa, and smiled. She wouldn't be worried about her with the guys, but what would they think with her bringing Raven as well. Kai was sure to be the neutral party, and help her keep the wolves in line. She was sure it was time to visit again anyways, she had missed Kai for long enough. "

"heh no need to worry about that." Raven chided. "We're quite used to that by now." he hooked a thumb towards his sister. "This one is the biggest pain of all." Merissa fumed and he laughed. She wacked him on the head again. "Keep in mind dear, I did have you pinned a moment ago." She snapped her fingers a spark of flame quickly jumped between them. "and I don't think it would be good for you to show up to Kensune's family injured now would it?" Raven's smile waned. "See what I mean? She keeps me in check and I make sure she doesn't burn down anyone's house if she gets upset." He kissed his sister lightly on the forehead.
"Well, we'll follow you then Kensune." Merissa walked past her brother to stand next to the fox. "I'd love to hear more about your family as we walk."

Kensune couldn't help but let out a loud giggle. They were funny, she loved it. She was glad the turn of evens had happened! Now only to get to the tribe, and hope they didn't embarrass her when they arrived. With Merissa's words, Kensune began to lead the way. Through the village, and past the men walking about. They stopped and stared at the group. But before they could even speak, she had walked right passed them. Not wanting to bother with them, she rolled her eyes and continued on her way.
It didn't seem like it took very long at all, they were approaching the tribe's area. Kensune was right, they didn't run into any trouble. Unless you counted the loud noises some lesser demons made as they hunted for their meals. Nothing to catch her attention, as she pushed on to her second home. How she longed to see Kai, and the other members of the tribe. Kensune didn't mean to be rude, but she hadn't spoke the whole trip. It was as if she had blinders on, just trying to get to her destination.
"Here we are..." she held her hand out, palm up, pointing in the direction of what was obviously a snug cave. "It is nicer inside than it appears." Their was a light drape of hanging moss around the opening, and it looked like a normal cave. Kensune smiled at her two companions, and then took a step into the mouth of the cave. With the moon being out, it would be hard for a human to see inside the cave. But Kensune could see just fine, and stopped to make sure her friends were following her.

Raven and Merissa eyed the demons around them carefully. They knew who Kensune was of course, but to the wolves these two naught but strangers trespassing in their territory. Raven hoped that Kensune was right in the fact that her presence alone would be enough to stop any fighting. She was taking them straight though the rocky mountain terrain towards a large cave. A curtain of moss hung from it's roof that served as both a door and protection from the elements. It was through here that Kensune lead them.
"It's homier than most caves we've been in" Raven told Kensune assuredly. He could only see a few feet inside but even from that he could tell that the wolf tribe that lived here did everything they could to make their home, well home.
"Do you all live here?" Merissa asked looking around. She didn't remember seeing any other caves on the way here. This one was certainly large enough to hold the entire tribe quite comfortably. She wondered what it would look like once they got further inside.

Kensune smiled, even though it would be hard to see it in the darkness of the cave. "From time to time, I don't stay long. I guess you could call it complicated, but some day..." she paused in the middle of her sentence. Kai's face came to her mind, yes Kai. "I hope to call this place my one and only home one day." she sighed as she continued the short little walk to the inside of the cave.
And once inside, scattered here and there were twenty plus members of the wolf tribe. Just going about, like the world outside didn't exist. The two guards just on the inside of the cavern rushed to stand in front of Kensune, and it quickly got quiet. Kensune shared some muffled words with the two wolf demons, and then they went and returned to their posts. Kensune turned to her two friends and smiled. "They smelled me coming, good thing they were paying attention." she looked at the guards. They tended to fall asleep at their posts, and if she had entered without them knowing it could have went badly. "Come on, let me introduce you to everyone." she was replaying the words in her head that the guards had spoke. They at first told her she shouldn't have brought outsiders, but she hold told them it was okay. She was going to talk to Koga if possible, and they were no threat. She remembered how long it took her to gain such respect and trust. It wasn't always this easy to enter the cave, and she was thankful.
Kensune took the two new comers around and introduced them to all the scattered members. Making sure to leave Koga and Kai's for last if possable. At first most of the wolf tribe members were reluctant to be so formal. But after Kensune doing some talking, Raven and Merissa were welcomed. Not many of the members talked much, but it did stop some of the stares that were first given. Kensune knew that Raven's wings reminded everyone of the bird demons that used to be the tribes enemy. She understood how they felt, it was a big part of their lives. But it was over and so they needed to move on anyway. Funny enough, some of the younger tribe members were very social. Wanting to know everything about the new faces. In this part of the tribe, their were very few young girls. But all that were present, made their way to Merissa. Just to look at her, and her outfit. They all clung to Kensune, but payed more attention to Merissa.
Once they had moved deeper into the cavern, Kensune picked a spot with some soft looking cloths that were layed out to sit. She motioned to the other two to do the same if they wished, and took a deep breath. "So, that was a lot of attention. I love the pups of this tribe, their so fun!" she sounded happy, she defiantly felt that way. She was going to take a breather before looking for Kai, knowing him he knew she was here already. Koga and Ayame didn't seem to be here. And she thought she heard one of the youngsters say they had left two nights ago. That was good, she didn't need Koga being, well Koga.

Merissa could not help but go red in the face with all the extra attention she was getting. She was used to it from villagers, mostly the men, but never did this many girls, especially younger ones. She bowed gracefully to them and made a little flourish. Behind her, she could hear Raven chuckle. Apparently he had found her sudden popularity amusing. It made her happy. They unlike most people knew that she dressed the way she did not only to express her beauty but her strength as well.
Kensune sat them down towards the back end of the cave on some cloths that had been laid out. She looked much better than she did in the forest Raven noted.
"You seem a lot happier now that your home." He told her. "They all look excited to see you too. They must love you a lot."
"They look up to you too." Merissa continued. She noticed the wolf girls still staring at her and flushed again. "They seem to like me a lot."
(I didn't mention Koga in my reply because it was something Kensune overhead and didn't directly ask. To Raven and Merissa it would simply be like overhearing part of someone's conversation in a crowded room)
