"So you're the reason behind all the commotion up here," a very feminine voice said as the source approached Zero. It was a girl was pale skin and long purple hair. She knelt next to him and several vampires held him down, only to be surprised when Zero managed to actually move them. "This one's strong for a human," one of them commented. "So, you're the head sucker around here?" Zero growled. "No, I'm not. He is," the female vampire said with a gesture towards the stairs. Another vampire, a male one, came down the stairs and approached April. "He didn't harm you, did he?" he asked.

"Oh, bullocks," Ghost said as he heard a click. There was a screeching sound and shortly after, several explosions went off near the woman with short cropped hair. Ghost took the moment of confusion to disable her while Roach did the same to his captor. "Roach, I got ya!" Ghost helped Roach to his feet. Ghost looked up and several winged creatures were diving down. "DIVEBOMBERS!" Ghost shouted and a mound of sand came up and a masive, putridly decayed figure rose from it and everyone who was nearby started shooting at it.

(Those things that showed up are the zombies, or at least two types of them: divebombers and diggers. The zombies in Hellworld have mutated to the point where there are so many different types of them, just to make things interesting.)

April turned to him with a smile. "No, but he's managed to kill two already," her smile turned to a frown. "He killed Victoria and Paul. what should we do about him?"

"I have an idea," the doctors voice came out from the other side of the rubble. April turned from the head vampire to the direction of the doctor, waiting. "I need real blood to make a proper synthetic equivalent. I think you know where I'm going with this." April smiled.

"Indeed," the head vampire said. "Draw blood from him, then bite him," the head vampire instructed the female who was knelt next to him. She nodded her head and pulled a dagger out of the sleeve of her robe. "Relax, this won't take long," she said. Zero struggled to get free, causing a small, metal piece around his neck to slide out from under his shirt. "Oh? What's this?" the female said. As soon as it was in her hand, Zero struggled more to get her to let go of it. The female took a look at it and let out a small gasp. It was her mother's locket. She had given it to someone special to her decades ago. Why did he have it? "Where did you get this?" she asked.

Ghost managed to drag Roach to a safe spot away from all the fighting. "What the hell are we gonna do now, Ghost? Suckers got us outnumbered, s--t's fallin' from the sky we are screwed man, we are royally-" Roach almost said in one breath. "Can it, Roach! That digger's got them distracted, we can slip away and get to convoy, and get that Pave Low over here," Ghost said, drawing an M9. "How do even know if Zero's still alive in there?" Roach said. "I've seen him in action, he can handle himself," Ghost said. "Can you walk?"

(You know that female vampire? She and Zero have a history together, but don't recognize each other.)

"Bite him?" April said and looked at him. "I don't think that's a good idea..." she looked at the female and Zero. She watched the little display and sighed. "It doesn't matter how he got it, just get rid of him," she said and tapping a gun against her leg. "He's a danger to everyone here, human or not, so he has to go."

"S--T!!!" the short haired girl screamed as she was picked up by one the creatures. She shot it in the head and it let go just so she could be grabbed by a divebomber that didn't let her take a shot before it bit her. She screamed bloody murder and did everything she could to make it let go. Eventually it did, and she fell to the ground, hitting her head and not moving. The vampire slipped over to her and drug her to a building where he then bit her. Vampire venom seemed to spread faster than zombie bacteria. Within minutes she was a pale, red eyed blood-sucker.

"And he will go, dear April, but it will be by th hand of his own kind," the head vampire said. "Well, what are you waiting for?" he askd the female. She was transfixed by Zero's defiant look, and she recognized it. "Wait...." she whispered. She moved his hair away back and her eyes widened as if she had seen a ghost. "Jack.....? Is that you....?" she said. One of the vampires holding him looked at the female. "You this guy?" he said. That pause was all Zero needed to break free and arm a UV grenade. He held it up and all the arming lights were on. "Jack," the female approached Zero. "It's me, Cybella. Don't you recognize me?" she said in a pleading tone. "Stay back, the only reason this thing hasn't gone off yet is because it's on a spring-loaded deadman's switch. My thumb comes off this trigger, all of you'll be barbequed," he warned.

Ghost poked his head around the corner. "Roach, there's a garage over there, they might still have a working vehicle," he said. "How far away is it?" Roach asked. "I'd estimate..... 'bout twenty-five, thirty meters," Ghost said. "Here's the plan, we break from here and run like hell, I don't think those rotters noticed us yet," Ghst said. "Easy enough," Roach said and got to his feet. He got next to Ghost. "Ready?" Ghost said and Roach patted his shoulder. "GO!"

(By the way, I think the head vampire needs a name. Got any suggestions? I'm bone dry on creative names.)

April decided to play the feild. "Cybella, if he doesn't recognize you, he's not going to and he probably doesn't care. He's going to kill you because of what you are," April said, trying to mess with Cybella's mind. She completely believed this herself, just because of the way he was acting. She looked at Zero. "And you, whoever you are, you had no reason to come in here and smoke Victoria and kill others. We hadn't done anything to at all."

"Your a threat to every last human that left out here," Zero said. "Jack, I don't know what happened to you after you escaped, but you have to remember something!" Cybella said. "Sorry, haven't seen you before," Zero said and made his way slowly towards what he thought to be an exit. "So you truely have forgotten?" Cybella said and closed her eyes. She started humming a small tune. That tune clicked something in Zero's head. "I know that from somewhere....." he said almost silently.

"Roach! Get the door!" Ghost said and Roach rammed the door to the garage down. There was a buggy in the garage. Ghost got in a started hotwiring it. "I hope this thing still works....." he said. The engine gave a few sputters before finally roaring to life. "Alright, now get us the hell out of here!" Roach said. Ghost put it in gear and floored it. They busted through the door and put some distance between themselves and the buildings until divebombers started coming after them. One blew up near them, and Ghost handed Roach an old AK-47. "Roach! Cover me!" Ghost said and Roach started aiming and shooting at the divebombers.

"Actually we're not," April said defensively. "Our scientist is making a very good serum. The vampires that live here haven't bitten a single human for six months."

"What's happening outside?" Pyotr asked and looked through a small crack in the window out onto the street. "Oh, God Almighty." He said and cursed. "F***!!!" he whispered and looked back at everyone. "I wouldn't go out there Jack, or whoever you are. It's f***ing crazy out there."

"Six months? you think that can make up for years worth of hunting us down?" Zero said, regaining his senses. Cybella took a step forward and Zero took a step back. "One more step...." Zero warned. "Jack, please, I know you remember something. You rembered that song just now," Cybella said. The head vampire took notic of Pyotr. "What's happening out there?" he asked.

Roach fired on the divebombers follwing them, only hitting two and the explosions from the two he hit took out three in turn. "This hunka' junk's gott have a radio or something!" Ghost said. Raoch checked his AK. "Ghost! I've got one round left in the chamber!" Roach said. "You've gotta be kidding me! This thing doesn't even have any spare magazines?!" Ghost said and a divebomber crashed next to the buggy. Ghost saw a blockade of vehicles approaching. "Hold tight Roach! We're almost there!"

"Many of them haven't hurt unwilling humans for years. The head vampire for instance hasn't for a few years once he got control. Why do you think he's the master of this house?" April growled. "Not all vampires hunted humans since the infectious vaccine started!"

"If it counts," the doctor said through the rubble. "The substitute is just one of my projects. I'm also working on what may be a cure."

Pyotr looked over to the head vampire. "Divebombers and diggers sir," he said and swallowed. "The ones outside on the gorund are losing. I wonder where the sniper group is..."

"If there's divebombers I doubt they'd be on the rooftops," April said sighed. "Not that I want to say this, but we could use any help we can get," she said looking at Zero. Then she looked at the head vampire. "We could let him just leave if he helps us. It's only fair, like repaying a dept, I guess?"

"Oh," the newly created vampire wimpered and sighed in the dark. She felt an insatiable urge for human blood. "What... oh God..."

"Shhh," the vampire said. "You were going to be a zombie if I didn't do this."

One of thte men outside took a glance at the buggy that was driving off with their two hostages. "Damn it," he said and turned back to the chaos that was still around him. He shot over and over, taking many diggers and divebombers out until he ran out of amo. "Oh sh!t. I'm out!" Someone tossed him a clip and went back to back with him. "i'll take the diggers, you get the flying bastards."

Zero heard divebombers and diggers being spoken. 'Damn, rotters showed up,' he thought. "One good sucker isn't enough to make anyone forget the actions of ten bad suckers," Zero said and scanned the ground for his MP5 or at least his USP. "Come on, guys....where are you?" he said under his breath.

"Guys, we got an unID'd vehicle coming at us," Windows said to the radio next to his computer. "I got a visual, it's Ghost and Roach," someone on the radio said. "And they've got-" several shots were fired. "Correction, they HAD company," the voice said.

Ghost got out of the buggy and pulled Roach out with him. "Snips! Snips where are you?" Ghost called. "I'm right here!" Snips came running up and took a look at Roach's wound. "How bad is it?" Ghost asked. Snips inspected it. "Looks like the shot went in and out, he'll be fine once I patch him up," Snips said and led Roach to the medical tent. Ghost was approached by Winters. "Riley, where's the rest of your team?" he asked. "Wolcott and Griffin and dead, Roach is wounded and Zero is MIA at the site of interest, sir," Ghost said. "I see, was the area-?" Winters implied. "Oh yes, it was a nest, a bloody big one,too. Zero said to get the Pave Low and go back for him," Gost said.

"Not coming," A vampire said and growled. "They're probably dead out there with a bunch of our people."

"Whatever," April said in almost the same tone as the vampire. "Get the hell out, I'll cover you on your way. You just a problem case here. Go away, and leave us alone." She looked at the head vampire. "Is that alright, (Lestat/Nyx/Tristan)? We're not in a very good position right now with that damn dead man trigger, or whatever it is."

The girl sighed and looked out into the light area, where she couldn't go anymore. A digger came up behind them and attacked the cloaked vampire. The girl turned and jumped on it, twisting it's head off. "Damn things," she said and even though she was unhappy with the turn of events, she had a new found power and was going to use it to the best of her ability.

"Fine, we'll let him leave," Tristan said. "There's a back way out of here you can take, follow us," Tristan said and beckoned for Zero to follow. Zero glared at Tristan. "All right, I don't seem to have a choice, I'll trust you," Zero said reluctantly. "But if you betray that trust, everyone here'll pay for it," Zero said. Cybella had a slight smile on her face. 'It's a start,' she thought.

A divebomber hit the ceiling and created a large, gaping hole where sunlight poured in. Another divebomber perched on the edge of the hole and looked in. It was an ugly little thing that looked like a winged angler fish. It let out a shrill screech and was blown up by a single shot. There was a whirring sound outside and a Pave Low was coming in over the horizon. 'Zero? Zero can you hear me? Respond!' Ghost's voice came on Zero's radio. He answered. "It's me, Ghost," he said. 'Mareu, he's still alive! He's in that house over there,' Ghost as heard on the radio. 'Okay, which house is it?' Mareu's voice was heard. 'The one with the hole in it,' Ghost said. 'Okay, Zero, standby, we've gt a SPI rig on the way,' Mareu said and the Pave Low approached the house.

April heard what was said and heard the noise outside. "What is that?" She asked as all the vampires moved away from the whole. Many of them seemed to disappear through the rubble, and were just sort of gone. She looked at Tristan as though he should leave too, and wondered if he would.

"What are they going to do to the building?" Pyotr asked as he heard them talking over the radio. "Tell me they're not going to smash into it."

"Wow," Fyodor said while looking out. "That's a nice piece of work."

"You know, I don't understand why you couldn't have just left us alone. None of this would have happened and we would have been happily going on without this interruption." April said as they walked and got to the door. She peaked out and there was nothing except the odd divebomber. "I'm risking my life for your @$$ so you better appreciate it," she hissed and barged out the door, into the open space behind and spun a few times and shot down the divebombers that were readying an attack at her. "You owe me!" she called and waved him out. "Tell them to go the back way, and you try and not be seen anything between the buildings. We'll take care of the rest."

"Ghost, Mareu, can you hear me? There's a back way you can take to pick me up!" Zero said into the radio. 'Roger that, sir! Mareu, bring the Pave Low around the back!' Ghost said over the radio and the Pave Low went over the house to the back way. 'Okay, Zero. SPI rig dropping,' Mareu's voice said on the radio and a line dropped from the Pave Low.

(I have had VERY bad writer's block lately, so sorry if any of my posts are too unimaginative.)
