"Uh, Zero?" Windows' voice crackled. "Yes?" Zero responded. "The motion tracker just picked up movement. 'Bout uhhhh, northeast of your position," Windows said. "How many?" Zero asked. "Just one," Windows said. Zero cocked his G36. "Snips, PJ, you take Sarah back to the convoy. Windows just picked something up on the MT. I'm gonna go check it out," Zero said and headed off in the vampire's direction.

The vampire heard it, and smiled. "Only one?" it whispered. "I was sort of hoping for all three, maybe even the girl." It moved down, nearly on all fours, close to the ground but still able to move with ease. It started moving stealthily behind a steep sand hill and took a few steps up on it, so it could just see over the top and watch as this 'Zero' came walking it's way. The muscles in it's body started aching for a fight, and tensing for the attack. It was damn thirsty and needed something to quench it. There were no animals in the desert, and besides, human blood always tasted better than any old animal.

Before Sarah had a chance to reply, the voice called Window's crackled in on the walkie-talkie. Windows informed them that there was a single vamp. close by.
Much too close.
She suddenly felt very naked without her gun. She swallowed and grimaced, looking at the two people who were standing beside her with a slightly apologetic look on her face.
Because of her they couldn't go help their friend.
...Right?

"It's okay, come with us," PJ said. "We've got a new home waiting for you," he gestured for her to follow.

Zero kept his eyes and ears open and his weapon raised. "Windows, you sure your gear's not on the fritz again?" Zero said. "I'm telling you something moved right around where you are now," Windows said.

Haha, I could play a little game the vampire thought, fighting back a laugh. Of course, every breath was an antagonistic feeling to stop fooling around and attack. It moved and went back down the hill to the side furthest from Zero, and a slight wind pushed the cloak out from cover of the hill. The vampire froze. The monitors may have picked it up. It took a second before it realized that one foot was also in seeing range and didn't move again, frozen and waiting for the report from this "Windows" person, if it ever came.

Zero noticed the cloak peek out from behind the dune. "Hold on Windows, I think I see something," Zero said and turned on the flashlight under the barrle of his weapon and pointed it at the top of the dune. "Alright, whoever's there come out where I can see you!" Zero demanded.

The vampire issued a low growl and didn't move, thinking about it's options. It could either outright attack, or wait until the man came around the dune, or waited until he turned his back. The first was what it's body was telling it to do, and the others were just games. Or, you know, it could just give up. That wasn't fun, but the possible outcome was that it died no matter what it did, and that wasn't a very fun outcome. Give up and play the determined to 'kick the habit' vampire. Good enough.

"Help, please," it said with a fanged smile. "Don't shoot me." It's voice was very feminine, and almost soft, if it weren't for that hard edge that most vampires had. It's expression came to a scared and confused face as it slowly came around the dune. "I'm sorry," she said, showing her fangs to have no surprises, with it's hands up. "I have no weapons except the obvious ones in my mouth. I don't want to hurt you, I'm... I'm trying to stop hurting people. I need help." Her plea was an obvious lie to herself, but it seemed like a good, plausible one.

Zero cocked his weapon. "Zero-tolerance policy for suckers," he said and lined his sights up with her head. "Sorry, convoy policy," Zero was about to squeeze the trigger when he heard a screech. He turned to the source only to be drop kicked by another vampire was a sent a good six feet away. "That was careless of you," this new vampire said to the one behind the dune.

((Um, are you going to lead Sarah anywhere? She needs something to react to if you know what I mean. And, I hate to ask, but is this new vampire up for grabs? *hopeful* ))

"Is that why they call him Zero?" The female vampire smiled at the new vampire and moved closer to Zero. "Poor convoy rule. They should trust a little more. I mean, what if I actually meant what I said? Is it that hard to believe that I became a vampire against my free will and wanted to change?" She looked down at him and gave him a fanged grin. "It's totally possible, just doesn't happen often," she said and looked for the man's gun. "Should've brought your friends with you."

The male newcomer laughed a dark laugh. "Fool! Isn't it simply terrible of me to enjoy this?" He said, grinning, showing all this shining teeth. "You truely are inferior creatures! I don't know why anyone would want to pass this up!"
At the female's words, he bent his knees in a sinister crouch, and sprang for Zero with a wild grin on his face.

Zero quickly pulled out a side arm and shot off four rounds. That was enough to get them to back off. "I can handle myself," Zero growled. He pushed something on the belt around his waist and kept his side arm focused on the male vampire. HE reached down and picked up his main gun.

Snips and PJ lead Sarah to the convoy. There were several trucks and tents set up. Several bonfires were lit and there were several armed patrols. Some were carrying AK-103's, some carrying M4's and others had Steyr AUG's. "You hungry?" PJ asked Sarah. "C'mon let's see if Benny has anything left," PJ said.

When the new vampire sprung for Zero the female moved out of the way, and even looked away from them, only to look back as the four shots were fired. She was surprised none of them hit her, and realized the reason was because Zero was paying more attention to the attacking vampire rather than her. She backed up, as Zero had tried to have happen, and looked over to the convoy that was set up. Lots of armed humans. Maybe she's picked off something a bit too big to chew. That wasn't usually the case, of course, there were the odd ones that were armed to their teeth with weapons.

Something came over her that was worse than the need to feed on human blood. It was the feeling of needing to have complete and utter chaos. It wasn't the first time this had happened. With those shots someone should have heard them and people should have been running. Even a shot from far away could be heard. They weren't that far from the convoy. She growled unexpectedly and kicked Zero's hand that reached for his main weapon, kicking it out of his hand. Leaving the last one of course to give him a little bit of a chance. "Sure you can," she growled and then stepped on his hand, intent on crushing it.

A light from above shone on them and a whirling sound was heard, an MH-6 Little Bird was overhead. "Get out of the way!" a voice on Zero's radio said. Zero pulled is hand out from under the female vampire's foot, grabbed his G36 and dove away. A hailstorm of bullets came down on the two vampires, who had quickly moved away. "What took you so long?" Zero radioed the pilot. "Sorry, bad traffic," the piolet said and set down. "Get in!" the pilot called. Zero hopped in and the chopper took off.

((I know that in my first post I mentioned that Sarah had a .34 mag. but um...I don't know ANYTHING about guns. So when you say AK-103's, and M4', and Steyr AUG's...I have NO IDEA what those look like. Just FYI.))

The male stood in the darkness with his hands on his hips, looking up at the retreating chopper. "Damn. I didn't get enough fun." He pouted.
His eyes slid to the female several feet away from him. He had been traveling alone in this this god-forsaken desert for a long time. Too long. A companion would be...more than welcome.
"Well, that was really unsatisfactory." He said, turning towards her and grinning. "Would you care to accompany me and help finish what we started? My name is Corvin. And you are...?" He inquired.

((Lol, bloopers. I was going to have him say this: "I never knew Hellish demons flew so close to the ground. You're so beautiful my heart wants to start beating again." XD Hrm. It came out pretty cheesy anyway. Haha.))
