Herro.
I'm not quite sure if I'd consider myself a RP veteran? But, I've been doing it on and off for a while. Although somehow life gets in my way some reason or another.
I will do my best on remaining active!
I think I've been in love with the series since I was eight years old? Long, long time.
Trust me. I'm kind of old.
I've dabbled in my search engine for the right kind of website that is still active. Hopefully I've come to the right place?
I feel like I need to shake off the rust and start writing again for fun. Gets the edge off at the end of my stressful work day. I'm sure you've all been there.

Hey Shy! Welcome to IYRP! We started this site roughly 17 years ago back in the old days of msn groups. Of course since then the anime and manga series for InuYasha ended but us die hard fans that were here since the beginning are still hanging around. You might not see too much activity at the moment, but we're slowly introducing new things to try to breathe life back into the place. I'm Remus co-owner and manager of this crazy little place. WELCOME TO IYRP!
So, yes, as Remus said, we've been around for a while. I think myself and the other guys are all old-ish but still very young at heart. The original owner still creeps around once in a while, but her and I moved everything we had from MSN Groups to here when they decided to shut MSN Groups down, and it was a long and pain-inducing process. Many members didn't phase over, only the ones who were close to us really bothered to come along, but that didn't matter, they were the most active anyway. :)
We roleplay InuYasha, but we also roleplay just about everything else. Pick a topic, and one of us will be more than happy to join you! And don't worry, when life strikes and you have to be away for a while, you'll always have a place to return to here with us. Sometimes we're gone a lot, too, but we always come back.

It's been such a long time since I've been on a decent role playing site.
I'm super excited!
I just need to get my ideas together and in order. Haha. I've just recently did an Inuyasha Marathon to freshen up my memory. I had also re read the manga too.
I'm gearing to go!

Anytime you're ready. Feel free to check out and join anything we've also started / been doing for... forever. If you want to get to know our different styles before we jump in on your proposed threads.
Also, if it's only us three who have been in the roleplays, even if we haven't posted on them for a long time, you can still join them if you like - I don't think any of us would oppose to revive an older one unless we have specifically stated at the end that we're done with it... but I don't think any of them are actually done or finished in any way.
We don't really have too many rules about roleplaying, except no sexual content and no bullying unless it's planned and okay with all members involved. :)

Sure! I might dabble in some to get the feel of how everybody functions. It might be easier to jump in instead of starting something new anyway. That might be for later. |

Oh, good questions. We usually go by claiming on each thread rather than site-wide. Makes it easier than trying to connect with someone who either doesn't want to do another roleplay or isn't on anymore... We used to have a lot of people come and go so it made sense to do it that way.
On MSN Groups we'd done it site-wide and it was a total mess. We changed that when we came here to make it easier on everyone.

That makes sense. Takes a lot of pressure off. Is it discussed before that actual role play is started then?

It can be. Depends on how fast you want to start. You can just say you're being so and so, and that you need whichever other characters done by other people, and which need to come in first if you have an idea of how you want things to go. Then other people interested would join with the characters you need.
