Shina is a soft spoken young woman. However, can be a spitfire when challenged. She is rather stubborn and as hard headed as a bull when it comes to her beliefs. 

Upon first impression, some mistake her quiet demeanor as arrogant or standoffish. Due to her history with being ridiculed by the other villagers because of her odd appearance and spiritual prowess as an omniyoji, she prefers to keep to herself and finds trust in others quite difficult.

When one does gain her trust, she will fight tooth and nail for that individual and do anything means necessary to keep them from harms way. She has a very strong belief in loyalty and respect. The challenge is to gain it first.

Shina can be very hot headed, as well. This is an individual who allows her emotions to guide her judgement rather than think of situations rationally, which gets her into quite a bit of trouble.

Shina is a rather pale and petite woman. Unlike other young women her age who tend to be more slim, she has a rather curvy figure. Now, it does not mean she is overweight or unattractive. However, it does make her stand out and very much different than the traditional beauty standards. She prefers to hide her figure with larger clothing or men's garb instead of a kimono. Her weight is carried more in her thighs, where she retains more muscle for heavy lifting. Despite this, her body shape in appearance is rather soft. But don't let that fool you!

And. Yes. She can be a rather comfortable pillow. Don't attempt it, though.

Her hair is a striking shade of red, that falls in waves down her mid back, usually tied in either a half or high pony tail. She can get awfully self conscious if one stares for too long, and uses anything and everything to cover it up.

Eye color can depend on the state of her mood, varying between a more neutral color like a hazel green, to a more muted slate gray.

Casual Wear: The outfit Shina prefers is more of a plain male's hakama and haori to hide her rather curvy figure. She often gets odd looks when she passes by. Eventually, she becomes more confident and dons more feminine garments.

As an Omniyoji (As the journey progresses; Without the head dress and bells.):

The main outfit that is worn throughout her journey as an Omniyoji once she accepts her spiritual powers.

Onmiyoji

Onmyōji (陰陽師, also In'yōji) was one of the classifications of civil servants belonging to the Bureau of Onmyō in ancient Japan's ritsuryo system. People with this title were professional practitioners of onmyōdō.

Onmyōji were specialists in magic and divination. Their court responsibilities ranged from tasks such as keeping track of the calendar, to mystical duties such as divination and protection of the capital from evil spirits. They could divine auspicious or harmful influences in the earth, and were instrumental in the moving of capitals. It is said that an onmyōji could also summon and control shikigami.

Onmyōji had political clout during the Heian period, but in later times when the imperial court fell into decline, their state patronage was lost completely. In modern-day Japan onmyōji are defined as a type of priest, and although there are many who claim to be mediums and spiritualists, the onmyōji continues to be a hallmark occult figure.

Onmyōdō: 'The Way of Yin and Yang' A traditional Japanese esoteric cosmology, a mixture of natural science and occultism. It is based on the Chinese philosophies of Wu Xing (five elements) and yin and yang, introduced into Japan at the beginning of the 6th century. It was accepted as a practical system of divination. These practices were influenced further by Taoism, Buddhism and Shintoism, and evolved into the system of onmyōdō around the late 7th century. Onmyōdō was under the control of the imperial government, and later its courtiers, the Tsuchimikado family, until the middle of the 19th century, at which point it became prohibited as superstition.

Shikigami: The user can call/conjure entities called Shikigami to assist them in a variety of ways, including for good fortune, protection, and curses. Their power is connected to the spiritual force of their master, and can possess or bewitch people, and cause bodily harm or death. They can take a variety of human or animal forms, but remain usually invisible or disguised to human eyes, although those with spiritual powers can normally perceive them.

Sealing Magic: The power to use magic that seals targets. Form of Magic. Variation of Sealing and Sealing Energy Manipulation. Not to be confused with Binding Magic or Magic Sealing.

Spiritual Awareness: The power to possess an increased awareness/sensitivity to the paranormal. Sub-Power of Supernatural Detection.

Barrier: A membrane of spiritual  energy, protecting the one who erected it from all sorts of dangers; such as physical intrusions or merely concealing one's presence. While barriers are protective in nature, they can be used for offensive purposes as well. Barriers can be cast over a wide area, as with Mount Hakurei, around an individual, or en masse. The strength of a barrier depends on the owner's spiritual or demonic power. Less powerful barriers can be broken into by throwing another barrier of the same or greater power against it. Barriers can be broken through other powerful mean's of attack as well.
