After a little while, Lily's senses began coming around, a strange scent if cinamon crossed her nose, making the girl's tender face scrunch up a bit. Her cheek twitched followed by her fingers, the strange feeling of being in peace made the half demon uncertain as she slowly opened her eyes. Unlike Yoru's they were a briliant purple, vivid but sad, so very sad. There was caution and uncertainty to them unlike the wild look of her other half. Slowly sitting up, Lily's sense of awareness was quite off, like before, but this time she was not covered in blood, which confounded her as she stared down at her clean soft hands.
Lily hated killing, and to see no blood what so ever on her hands in years shocked the girl. A bewildered expression crossed her face before she picked up the smell of cinamon a little more clearly, her head snapped towards Kage. A sense of unease, and deep caution came over her whiel she stared at him wearily. "...You're that demon from earlier, why do you stare at me so? You look like you've seen a ghost.." her voice was silky soft and rather easy on the ears, but the natural tone was a tiny different from Yoru's, making them quite different in appearance and everything else, two very different creatures.

Kage watched the girl, waiting to hear her speak. She was so close in resemblance, it took his breath away! Her words entered his ears, and he felt like he had in indeed seen ghost. He took a deep breath, then tried to say the words that were screaming to get out. "I apologize for earlier yesterday, I am a sorrowful old man. I can be rude, and I am sorry for doing so to you." His words seemed to run together a little, like he didn't have enough breath to say them. "Forgive me also, you look just like someone I once knew." His heart was beating fast, he didn't know what to think of this girl's appearance. Her voice was different, and more then just her eye color, they were no his beloved's.
He looked down at his hands, and sighed. It had been a while since anything or anyone had made his heart beat so fast. He was nervous when he saw her, she was beautiful in her own way. She had features that screamed Kagirinai's name, but they alas still weren't her's. This girl, she was one of a kind herself. He looked back up, admiring the girl's hair, and watched how she acted.

The way his words ran together, the nervousness in his voice, what this demon said was true, but it was a lot more than just that. It was someone that he obviously cherished that she reminded him of. "... I forgive you." She said reluctantly before standing up and dusting off her kimono. "I have my own issues, I got irritated because I'm tired of being pushed around. Though I find it odd... That you are the first demon who doesn't want to simply strike me down for what I am." She turned her gaze and looked at him. ".. You aren't a normal demon though are you?" This much she could sense, and in one swift movement she was right in his face, her nose inches from his, studying those red eyes. Backing up a bit, and sticking a couple of fingers under his chin she turned his head slightly. "You were once mortal. Such transitions are even more rare than my kind.. the emotions that lingered even after you died allowed you to be brought back as something more." She took a step back and put a hand on her hip. Lily's personality was the complete opposite of Kagirinai's, she was not timid, or as uncomfortable with contact. "... looks like Yoru snapped you out of your slump, at least a little. It's rather sad to see such a charming, powerful demon wither away." Turning she headed over to the bank of the river and crouched, cupping her hands together as scooped up some of the ice cold, clean water and took a drink. What lily said was more of a factual statement from her voice, if there was any attraction she would not admit it to this strange demon.

Kage felt relieved that the girl forgave him, he had hoped she would. He looked at her as she arose, and dusted herself off. Her words that followed, she too was just as troubled as her other half. Then he was in slight shock, as she came close to him. Reaching out, and hooking his chin with her fingers. He was unsure of what was happening, but he stayed still as she spoke. Describing him like she knew everything, like she had known him forever. She spoke with confidence, she was very different from his beloved. He smiled, and listened to her as she continued her observations. "I enjoyed her company last night, and thank you for the compliments." He was sure there was a slight brush on his cheeks, as the girl walked over and took to drinking from the river. "It must be nice to wake without being covered in blood? And your kimono is very pretty at that, Yoru seemed sorry for the distress she has caused you over the years..." He was just making small talk, not sure what to say to the girl in his company. He couldn't get past her looks, it was so strange that he would meet with the girl that so resembled his beloved.

"It is nice... I rather detest killing, fighting is no issue but killing, especially when I don't even know who's blood I have on my hands.. It can be rather unnerving. I do not hold it against her though, she is another part of me and no matter how much it bothers me I accept her." The compliment he gave her about her kimono made her smile slightly, before fading into a distant expression as she stared into the water. "It was a gift from my father, on my 16th birthday, the same night we... killed him." She took responsibility for her emotions that welled to that point, she blamed herself just as much for his death, for Yoru fed off of those feelings. "I try to take very good care of it, luckily I haven't grown any taller since that day so it fits just right." Except fro her hair and eyes she could pass for human quite easily, there were no really demon defining characteristics about this particular girl. Her hair and eyes was what had defined her as something inhuman, and yet Lily was very obviously human in so many ways, blatantly showing her emotions, her distress, her foolish sense of fearlessness. "Have you seen the burned remains of the village up over the hill?" she asked point towards the northeast, it was the same direction Yoru had come from last night and that scream of anger that filled the air for a brief time, she always came here around the same time of year hoping to minimize the destruction Yoru wrought, and to bring flowers to her family's graves to grieve. She had nothing left in this world except the will to survive, it would be the only thing that kept her pushing forward, through everything.

"That is very understanding of you, to know that while you are suffering, she is also." Kage hoped Lily would understand what he meant by the comment, and thought about the rest of what she had said. It was true, their stories, her and Yoru's were a unhappy one. "It seems you have done a good job at keeping it taken care of so far, and you are right. It still seems to fit you perfectly still, like it was made for you." Kage still couldn't get past the resemblance to Kagirinai, but as the moments past, he was coming to terms with the truth. He then snapped to attention at the question of the burnt remains. He thought to himself, then nodded in response. "I have, is that place one of interest? I remember Yoru coming going and coming from that direction, is that place perhaps where you once lived?" He already knew that answer, but he wanted to know more about their story. Maybe it would shed some light on the resemblance, and Yoru's anger that seemed to one of uncontrollable hurt. Kage knew he had gotten himself into something deep this time, but he was not afraid of what was to come. It was time for him to get a move on with his life, that is what his beloved would wish for him to do. Maybe she had pointed the girls in his direction, hoping they would bring him a reason to exist again. If not only to help them grow out of the rut they had lived in for years, but to get him out of his. Kage looked up at the sky, wishing to see his beloved. Was she watching him, was she there with him. He didn't know what he believed in, or what the truth was. He only knew that his last moments with Kagirinai, he had hoped he had made it easy on her. Let her pass in peace, and know she had been loved deeply. She had been such a beautiful women, and had taught him a lot of himself in the few weeks they shared together. He looked back down the Lily, and sighed, he was ready. For the next chapter in his long life, and to hopefully help the girls to grow in themselves. (Sorry It took me a while, working again has been kicking my butt!)

Lily nodded gently, Running fingers through her messy short hair the young half demon sighed softly, closing her eyes only for a moment before opening them and looking at Kage with a piercing gaze. "Yoru and I have an emotional link, I can feel all of them. It kind of bleeds over between the two of us. It's a hard connection to explain." Smiling and looking down at her kimono with a sense of pride ebbing from her for just a moment. "My father was rather tall, so I imagine I got my height from my mother, but I am fine with that, it just means i can wear this longer." it set her figure into an eternal image of spring, bringing a little bit of brightness to her dark world. "Whenever it rips or tears I carefully stitch it. However it seems to be rather sturdy so luckily I have only had to do it on a few occasions." Turning her head and looking in the direction of her only home she ever had, the expression saddened a bit. "As for the charred remains of the village, yes, It was my first, and only home I ever had. I come here once a year around the same time and put flowers on my family's graves. Plus with this land vacant of humans, and only a sparse amount of demons, it's a prime area for when Yoru loses all sense of any control..." her voice grew soft, she had said enough, Yoru might have been more comfortable with this man, but she was still rather uncertain. Demon's were tricky creatures, liars, and deceivers, she had grown accustomed to being back-stabbed and betrayed, so sharing this much was all she could bare to do.
"..Lastly I want to get something across. I share with you, only what I feel you must know, Yoru might trust you, but I do not. You are her Friend, I do not have friends, I do not trust you." Her voice was firm, but a hint of unease could be sensed in it, feeling that she was growing to close too suddenly. "You might have no intention to deceive or trick me, but I cannot take that chance. I have been nearly killed too many times." her back had a variety of scars from her near death experiences, but somehow each time she managed to survive.
With that she began walking up a ways picking a variety of wild flowers, some were yellow, others were white, purple, blue, red. Everything that caught her eye she plucked until she had a large armful. She needed a moment to her thoughts, to process everything that had happened in a short span of time, she was letting him in to quickly, Yoru might have been fine with that, but lily couldn't protect herself as well as her other self could. Most she had was speed, claws, and her blade. Compared to Yoru's many abilities she was essentially defenseless, and she hated feeling vulnerable, especially around a demon, while charming, had power that sent chills down her spine. His aura was usually something she tried to avoid but here he was, and supposedly he wanted to help them.
(that's alright :3 oh I am trying to figure out the battle for the other one lol reason why i haven't replied to it yet)

Kage stayed quiet as Lily spoke about her father, and her other self. He wondered what it was like to know you have another person sharing your body, but in truth never met them. It was as if you knew them, as they were dormant as you lived through your daily cycle. Then there was the fact of not knowing what you would be waking to, and find yourself in a different place then when you went to sleep. It would be hard for him, so he can only imagine what it was like for this young girl, who had seen much blood shed, well woke up to it.
Then as he heard the stress words she spoke, she had moved on to a different topic. He made direct eye contact with her, and held his breath as he processed her words. He understood why she felt the way she did, and didn't blame her. But he knew he would have to change her mind, if he was to help both of them. For the time being, Yoru's trust was enough. She was the harder target it seemed, she was the one who caused most of the blood shed. So naturally it would be the main focus to help her calm herself, and her urges. Lily, well she needed a friend it seemed. But this was something he would have to win from her, her trust, her confidence in the situation. It didn't seem like it would be easy, but it had to be done, little by little.
He watched as she departed from in front of him, and entered the area of the ever beautiful wild flowers. He would let her be, and do as she pleased. No need to bother her, she had a mission this day. He figured he knew what, and he would show himself when Yoru appeared again. He arose, and was gone in an instant. He too had a mission, and would not fail to see it till it was fulfilled. It would help them, and maybe him too.

Lily made her way up the path, the dirt road had become overgrown with plant life due to lack of use. No one came here anymore, in the eyes of humans, the village was a cursed place. The fact that they allowed a demon wed a human and basically breed with her, to most mortals that was simply ill omen. Maybe they were right, her existence seemed to be like nothing but a curse, from her very birth, which killed her mother, to now. Yoru struggles with the demon inside of her, often losing herself to it and giving into the pleasure of bloodshed and mayhem. That Man claimed he could help them, help Yoru, but lily doubted his words, after all, what did he have to gain from helping them? To befriending them? Perhaps in his own way he was just as miserable, and lonely as they were, maybe.
Lily's eyes narrowed as she stopped at the entrance of the charred village. She had long since cleaned up the bodies and buried them in years past. the building were charred, half devoured by the flames that she set to this horrid place of her birth. No matter how terrible these people were she felt they still deserved a burial so she gave them that much. There was only one set of light tracks around the village, all the same size and from the same sandals, hers. She was the only creature who dared to enter this place. The smell of smoke, ash, and decay was still heavy in the air, but despite this, in some areas, even in the burned out houses, plants had begun to grow, flowers here popping up here and there. In time the wild would reclaim this place, it's beauty would cover up the ugly truth of human nature, and Lily? She will return every year, even as the wild reclaims her parents graves, she will replace their stones, carve them herself. She would never forget what she had done, or those that mattered to her that she lost.
Slowly taking a step forward into the desolate, dead village, the young half demon made her way over to her old home which rested well away from the other homes and town center. Lavender eyes looked over the remnants of the destruction with indifference, she had truly loathed these people and did not care about their fate, they got what the deserved. Her gaze softened when she looked at the remains of her old home which only had the charred remained of the foundation, the place where she was born and grew up with her father. She could feel tears working their way up as she made her way over to two simple graves that were left untouched by the damage of the fire. Squatting down, resisting the urge to fall to her knees, oh how she wanted to, but she did not want to get grass stains in her kimono so this would have to do. Dividing the bundle of flowers she set a pile on both graves before standing back up and looking down at the graves. The two flowers Yoru picked last night were there still too. The longer she looked down at those she had lost too soon she could feel herself losing her grip as silent tears began to roll down her cheek. Knowing her and Yoru were so painfully alone was a constantly struggle for her having any desire to really live in this world. She often just masked her pain with anger and distrust, but every time she let someone close they ended up almost killing her simply because she was a half breed. "I am a fine example why Human's and demons should never blend, father, you tried so hard to find me a place, but even you surely knew that neither world would accept something like me. To mortals I am an abomination, to demons.... I am... a Disgrace, the idea of a human and a demon having a child and the child living, the mere thought to almost all of them, disgusts them." she whispered softly, not expecting an answer, just needing to say something. "Every time I try to find my place, I am almost killed by those I let close, to them... I have no right to be." Balling her hands into fists tightly until the white of her knuckles was visible, she then sighed and continued to stare at the graves. "There is no hope for me in this world, yet I push forward. Even if it kills me, at least in the afterlife, I can proudly say I kept on trying until there was nothing left." Giving a faint smile she slowly sat down on the soft grass and grew silent as the tears slowly stopped, taking her sleeve, Lily wiped away the evidence of her pain and misery and just stared at the graves in silence. Darkness would be here soon, it took part of the day just coming up here, so she would remain here in silent contemplation until the night returned.

The day pasted quickly, almost too quick for Kage. He had really done nothing but hunt and relax. The sun seemed to want to come and go without any knowledge of time. It didn't bother him though, he was waiting for his new friend to come and find him. Or maybe it was he who should take up search? Either way, he knew they would find each other.

Yoru's vision focused in on the marked graves of her family. Had Lily been sitting there all day? her throat hurt, her sighting stung a bit too. That was typical though, Lily always cried in silence and on her own, never desiring the comfort of others. However she doubted the new tears were hers still. Taking the sleeve of her kimono The girl wiped the tears away before rising to her feet, dusting off the dirt. Sure she could go and search for that devilishly attractive demon, but first some ice cold water to sooth her throat would be first.
Making her way down the steep mountain path, the young girl approached the river, Her show like hair moving effortlessly through a light breeze, those fine tuned, cat like ears picking up on every sound around her. Kage was nearby, though hard to pinpoint, she could both smell and hear him. Her new friend didn't get up and wander away even after dealing with Lily.. that was a plus, the girl could be a bit gruff sometimes especially around strangers, or strange, and cute men. That weariness has kept them both alive so far though, and got them out of near death instances so no scolding was needed in that regard.
As she swquat down and scooped some water up to her mouth, the moon slowly rose behind her. giving a light, ghostly glow to her appearance, seeming much more like something between darkness, and spirit like. Something else she held in common with Kagirinai, the one she had been incarnated from.

Kage had napped off and on while he waited. His attention instantly being attracted to sound of the young woman at the river. He had pondered much as well, and had slightly been disgusted with himself with the she way he had become. He once was something to be feared, but his beloved, she had make him a new man. He would have to start learning to cope, if he were to keep her memory alive. She would not want him to be the way he had been for the last couple of years, he owed much more to these two young ladies then he took account for.
With these thoughts echoing in his head, he came out of his nest in the trees. With a single dramatic leap, he landed a few feet away from where his new friend. He gave her a melancholy expression, but a tiny smile creased from the corner of his lips. It was easy to smile at Yoru, and not so much at Lily. Even thinking the other girls name made his heart ping with pain, for it just brought back memories of his beloved. He cracked his neck, and wet his lips to speak. "Took you long enough, I feel like I napped for years not hours!?" Tilting his head a little to the left, her studied the girl's face. "Are you alright?" This was a loaded question he was sure, but still, he asked it.

A loaded question indeed, normally she'd get rather uncomfortable and evasive with such questions. She wasn't sure what to really tell him, Lily's emotions were her own, and Yoru could only guess the reason behind her crying. "for all I know, she secretly hates me. I took everything from her, so I honestly don't know if either one of us are ok." Years of being hunted, hated, and alone, this sense of concern was not something she was use to. "soon.. I wont even be able to control myself. the red moon will rise tonight. It holds a sway over my sanity." Some half demons were affected by certain moons, hers happened on one of the more dark cycles that represented ill omen. "so one could say... no I am not ok." Even now as the moon began to rise, she could feel it tugging at something within her, the hate, the rage. The two very emotions that made her blind to reason. "I wont be myself for days." She could feel it now, dark shadow like markings creeping it's way up her neck, while more made it's way down to the tips of her fingers and toes. Yoru's demon blood was fighting for domination, suppressing her humanity, and Lily, who wouldn't be able to resurface until the end of the blood moon cycle.
"I don't think I fully understand why, why are we... friends, you don't really even know me." They had only talked a couple of nights, but there was so much more to her than words. Than stories of her life, those were simply facts. a sharp pain started to surge through her body, half of her skin now covered in nothing but shadows, though her red eyes pierced out from the darkness. Her scent becoming more like a spicy and untamed fragrance, like a snap dragon flower, and cinnamon. Her form was muddled with the shadow marking threatening to consume her.
Yoru took a slow, deep, pained breath before looking at Kage, eyes showing a sense of loss and fear as she struggled to stay in control. Fighting every instinct in her body to lunge at him. Body trembling even as she took a leap back. creating a nice gap between them. "I don't want to be like this forever.... I either want to be demon... or human, not both." It felt like they were two people smashed into a small cramped room together, with barley any room for one person as it was, let alone two. "I have no clue... how, or even if you can help me. Do you?"

Kage could sense and see her surges. He understood completely, and knew what it was like to have to fight against oneself. He didn't at first, he used to let his demon nature run free. But it only fueled the loneliness in his heart, this is what gave his human self the ability to grow. How to advise this girl of the benefits of both sides, only growing to understand them was needed.
"I used to feel the same way, I... understand what your going through. I used to be just like you, I honestly wanted to lose my human self all together." Kage looked directly at Yoru, and had a serious look on his face. "I had these memories that weren't mine, or at least they felt that way. But there was always this loneliness in my human heart, and even in my demonic soul." He cleared his throat, and took the short steps to Yoru's side. He knelt down and looked at the flowing river that was passing them. "This loneliness is what helped me gain some control, but meeting.... a beautiful young women is what it took for me to figure out where my happy medium was." Blinking at the start of the very sensitive subject of his beloved, but he shook it away and turned to look back at the girl. "It may not be that you can find a simple medium, maybe you do need one or the other. But it will be a interesting journey, and I told you I would help you."
Kage ran his fingers through his hair, and realizing it was a mess. He smiled to himself, and bit his lip before answering her other question. "As for why we are friends, does it matter, I don't ask anything from you. But to let me help you, and this Miss Lily. You said you wanted help, or at least look at it as a change in the right direction maybe? You two are the ones in control, so it's your call Yoru." He decided to stop there, for he was interested in how she felt about all he had said.

Loneliness, an emotion she was all too familiar with. She was alone, more often then naught, before she came across him, all she wanted to do was protect Lily and hate the world for their judgmental tendencies. She still hated the clashing societies of humans and demons, senseless war, and bigotry fueled by fear, anger. Like her own anger, "she... must have been someone wonderful, to accept everything about you." To even teach him to accept every part of himself, she must have been a compassionate creature. A spike of pain made the small half demon bite her lower lip roughly, as she clenched her fists. Her veins felt like they were on fire. The madness starting to push it's way forward. "For me however there's... no balance, I cannot control what the moon does to me no more than the ocean, and its tides."
Every inch of her body was screaming in pain now, it hurt, feeling hurt. "help... If you believe you can then please...." Each word was becoming an obvious struggle as her demon blood consumed her. The brilliant, bright, and intelligent look in her eyes shifted to something more animal in nature, years of torment, and near death experiences from both humans and demons, brought out the untamed fury of the darkest parts of her soul. A sense of anger radiated from the girl, she was not herself, no longer in control but at the mercy of her bloodline.
Her expression cold, with a hint of a scowl as the red moon rose into the sky, just like the night of her birth, and Kigirinai's death. "... demons are selfish creatures, selfish like humans. You say... you want nothing, I have no reason to trust you, or anyone." This was her sheer anger and pain speaking now, the things she buried, and continued to bury. "I've trusted, I've let my guard down, I've tried to belong, everyone just stabs me in the back, both literally and figuratively." Scars lined her back and her chest where many times she barely survived those she tried to trust. "apparently, the fact that I was born and survived all these years makes me a monster, so why not be one? I like the blood, the hunt." She couldn't understand it, to comprehend that someone cared about her even in the slightest, while society on all sides scorned her for merely breathing.
turning her back, Yoru let the back of her kimono slide down, shadows moving to reveal the grizzly gashes, and cuts. The fact that she survived with scarring and minimal internal damage was a testament to her will to defy the world. "too many times i have clawed away barely alive from encounters with others. Everyone hates me, but i will not die simply because the world wills it." She'd much rather make it run red with blood and death, before she'd consider ceasing to exist. the world would first feel her wrath. With that she took off into the woods.
Blood, she wanted to watch something, anything bleed to death at her hands. Following the scent of an unwary traveler, she honed in on her prey, everything and anyone was a possible target. She laughed as she pinned the terrified man against a tree above her. The terrified look in his eyes, the horror at the sight of her unnatural appearance made him tremble. The fear was quite sweet, licking her lips, this man would be an example to Kage, of her pain, her blood lust, tonight he would get a great view of the real her, and Yoru would make sure of it.
