Kage's crazed eyes softened to her words and touch. And his classic grin spread across his face, but it was a little different though. It was mixed, almost like both of his natures were smiling at her. In a way, both the demon and human side had agreed to share her. He just stared into her eyes, as she sealed the stump that was left behind. After a moment he leaned in and kissed her forehead. This even surprised him, but he took it as a good sign. He returned to looking at her, taking her in. That little show had tired him out a little, but it kinda was his fault for showing off as well.
"I grew tired of that thing..." He cracked his neck, his breathing had gone back to normal. He shouldn't have been so foolish, but he was starting to want to gain her attention in different ways. "As for being amazing, you make me so my lady." He was also growing to love trying to flatter her, his love was growing for her every second of the day. He was truly happy, and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

A light tinge of a blush appeared on her cheeks from his flattery. No matter how many times Kage did such things, Kagirinai doubted that she would ever grow use to such flattering comments. She could sense the two sides of his soul seemed to be willing to share her. It was an impressive sight to see both parts out at once. "It was rather annoying." That mixed smile of Kage's only made her chuckle softly, giving her own little smile. the sleeve of her kimono shuffling a bit as her arm stretched out, fingers extending to touch his cheek softly. "Just be careful, don't over exert yourself." She said with that gentle, and calm voice of hers.
It was strange feeling so close, and warm around someone. When they first met, she just wanted him to go away, to be left alone, even if it killed her. The first time he touched her skin, it was electrifying, and quite foreign, which she hated at first. Then the first encounter with his more demonic side was quite exhilarating. Being around both, talking with his two sides, helped the horse demon come out from her proverbial shell. not to mention he was quite easy on the eyes. Everything that has happened to bring these two to this point was something they both needed.
Now she couldn't imagine being away from him, or without him. Despite the mission Kagirinai was on, Kage had become the deep rooted center of her world. He gave her strength, confidence, and a sense of peace.
These thoughts wandered through her mind as her feet gently touched the ground. Toes digging into the rich soil beneath her. The smile never leaving her face, even as her hand gently fell away from his cheek. A journey that she had begun on her own, this man now shared with her willingly. "We're quite something paired together." she said softly, even as a sinking suspicion that their time together would not last. Shaking such an unpleasant feeling from her mind, before she knew what came over her, Kagirinai wrapped her arms around Kage, hugging him close, and nuzzling her face into his covered chest, fighting back tears, even though she didn't understand why she wanted to cry, she was happy. There should be no reason for tears.

With her touch, and caring words. Kage's hand met her's, resting on his cheek. He just let her touch fill him with the tingling sensation, the same one he got when he kissed her. He could stay in the moment forever, but his rationalization skills were annoying. He knew they were a long ways away from living the life he wanted for her, but with each step they were getting closer and closer. Then he felt her hand go to fall and his fell with her's, attempting to rejoin her's. Then before it was so, she had wrapped her arms around him. Holding him so close, and was she actually nuzzling?
Kage, even though in a low level of shock. Quickly wrapped his around her, and held her tightly. She had come a long way from how she used to be, and quicker then he would have imagined. He was happy that he could help her grow in her emotions, and be with her in the battle at hand. Kage rested his head against her's, and nuzzled, taking in the natural scent he loved so much. "My Love, are you okay?" It was only natural he could sense her conflict, and the fight tears. "Kagirinai...I wish I could hold you forever." He let out a sigh, he had tired himself, but he would be fine. He wasn't used to this level of conflict, but he would do it over and over for her.
