Kage looked at her, the smile still spread across his face. "Alright then, we will go deal with them" His tone still cheerful, he had no worries about dealing with some demons that had it coming. "I will help you get the peace you wish for, and deserve my love. Don't be sorry." He had a look of peace himself, but his eyes showed a little bit of rage. He would be ready for what was to come. He would fight along side her, and take the opponents out quickly. He was always so sure of himself, but he couldn't help it. I was how he was, and nothing would change it. Even with all that happened to him, he was arrogant. "When you are ready, lead the way darling. I am ready..." He trailed off, wanting her to look at him, so that she would tell him she too was ready.

Turning her head to look at kage, Kagirinai's emotions eased a bit, feeling more relieved by what he told her. "I am ready." she said more confidently, lowering her head and nuzzling him gently. Her sensitive equine ears flipped back irritably as she looked to their right and saw a demon leap out and lunge towards Kage. Her eyes narrowed in obvious annoyance first stomping her front hoof down to help voice her emotion without really speaking. Before the demon could even get within feet of Kage, she had swiftly turned her haunches towards the weak creature and gave a good hard kick with her feet. A resounding crack could be heard as she connected with its chest and sent in flying into the trees. "annoying creatures.." She nearly growled with her voice before taking a deep breath through her nose and calming herself. "you know.." she began as she turned back to look at Kage. "I've never had anyone on my back before, would you like to?" she asked, part of her hoping he would, she wanted him to enjoy the same exhilirating feeling she had when running.

Kage's eyes got big at her question, he at first wondered why he hadn't thought of that himself. Maybe because in a way it made him feel like he would be treating her like an animal, it didn't seem right. But she offered, and so she must want him to. He took a deep breath, and wasn't sure if he wanted accept the offer. Looking at where the demon had entered their line of view, he pondered. It felt like moments, but maybe it was seconds. Then looking back at his love, he nodded his head in acceptance. He had ridden horses when he was a man, but he never had need of any when he was reborn. He ran his fingers through her mane again, hesitating what was to come. Maybe he would like the idea more once he was on her back. He didn't want to jump onto her back, so with another deep breath. He faded onto it, resting himself behind her wings. Not wanting to be too close to her neck, he intertwined his fingers in her mane. Telling her he was ready, not sure what her plan was. Thought he wasn't sure he really was ready, this was going to be a new and interesting experience.

"hold on...." She laughed softly before taking off like a bat out of hell, the feeling of him so close was so soothing, feeling his fingers in her gostly, wisp like mane was a wonderful sensation. suddely her wings spread open, and with a powerful flap she took to the air, using her powerful legs to porpel her up a ways while flapping her wings only occassionally from above they had a nice view of the land below, the wasteland ahead was massive, expanding for several hundreds of miles, There were remains of creatures, what looked like a small village, and human bodies as well, all slowly decaying and giving off a horrible strench which made Kagirinai swuint. "...ugh, how foul.." she gasped, her poor sensitive nose was being assaulted by the powerful smell and she could smell nothing else. "They're using the smell to mask their own... I can't smell anything but rot." she said in slight aggitation, her keen eyes scanned the area for any signs of the demon.
Her silver eyes studied everything closely, the demon belended in with the dead trees, staying silent, and watching it's argets in the air. From so high up it looked just like anothero ne of the trees. Mangled, dead, and just another piece of scenery. At first Kagirinai couldn't notice him, but a slight heartbeat that wasn't theirs, caught her attention, her sensitive ears darting in the direction as her eyes looked down and focused on the strange mangled looking tree. The next thing the mare knew, things shot up from the muck that most of the land had become, they were like rotting vines with a will. ONe snapped towards her feet and she darted out of the way, while keeping up right, the others she weaved and dodged through before one wrapped around her wing then another around her other, gripping then harshly and cutting into the flesh. Wriggling wildly and trying to pull away as they were drug downwards, her first natural reaction was panick as a horse, and she wresled with this emotion trying to get herself under control, whipping her head around and trying to bite off the vines, but they were just out of her reach. This demon was starting to annoy her, grabbing her lovely wings in such a manor.

The smell didn't bother Kage much, a few hundred years. He had smelled worse, but he understood the tactics. It was good cover, especially when your up to no good. He was alert, but seemed not enough. Because before he knew it, something had sprung up and latched onto Kagirinai! He in instinct jumped off his beloved as she tried to bite the vine. Drawing his iron daggers, he made work at slicing through the demonic creature that sought to ensnare them. Finally freeing her, he gave her a look of worry. Then spotting some lesser demons, darted to the ground, to ridding them of their useless lives. He got ride of them quickly, this was only the start to what was to come. But he was ready, fun aside, now was the time to finish their goals. He continued on his way, checking to make sure she was holding her own.

Watching Kage for a second, Kagirinai snapped her attention back, focusing. She would not let her rage or pain could her thoughts this time, she would be accurate, precise, like they had practiced in their games so much, she had learned to focus a lot more, to concentrate and make things more difficult. Kagirinai knew she was ready as she flapped her powerful wings, the wounds from the lacerations caused small droplets to fall to the ground as she took off far into the sky, above the clouds and out of sight. However, her ears, they were focused on the steady beat of that demon's heart, he may have been more tactical than the last one, but she wasn't going to let him win. None of them would win against her, she would rip them all apart, make them pay.
After getting to the right spot she turned to her human form her lance in her grasp, it's color was a clear calm blue, reflecting her thoughts, she was focused, and calm. Her wings had materialized this time, and made the back of her kimono slide down slightly to accommodate their attachment to her shoulder blades. taking a calm breath she dove, using the height and shear altitude to propel her at an amazing speed, the vines that shot towards her, she cut down swiftly, not allowing them to latch onto her again as she dive bombed straight for her target. Those silver eyes were fierce, and focused on thier goal.

Kage quickly darted to his mate's side, and fought along side her. They were making good time, these lesser demons were nothing to them. Together they would concur, their games had done him good too. Allowing him to handle himself a lot better, and be quicker to react to the attacks coming at him. He was like shadow, he had turned into his lesser faded form. He had gotten better at controlling this part of him as well, able to understand what made it happen. He was quick as ever, and was determined to protect his mate. In all her beauty, and her courage. She would always amaze him, with her heart and soul. She was the reason why he lived, and breathed.
"Lets keep with this pace beautiful, your doing wonderfully!" He was trying to give her confidence, knowing she just needed a little encouragement. Picking off the lesser demons, he moved a head a little. Trying to make sure nothing would stop them from reaching their goal. He looked back at her from time to time, to make sure she was doing okay. He trusted she could hold her own, especially against such easy enemys. But they all still had tricks up their sleeves, and he knew it all too well.

Kagirinai blushed slightly and nodded as she made quick percise jabs with her lance making quick efficent work of their targets. "Agreed, with you, I know I can do anything." she replied in kind her lance striking out behind him taking out a sneaky demon as she easily caught up, cutting her way through. Kagirinai had increased her skill in dodging and darting around attacks, making sure to keep his gift nice and pristene, it meant so much to her, and the way it flowed with her every movement was amazing, like an extension of herself. Kagirinai recalled seeing paintings of warrior princesses on scrolls, in a way she kind of feelt like that with the kimono.
She smiled at him playfully as she darted past Kage, giving him a playful wink. she had quickly caught up with him, and even began to push past. A demon came out to her side quickly and she shot the blade of her lance out, making it go clean through it's skull making it crumple to the floor. She was so focused, despite the overwhelming scent that made her want to double over in nuasia.

They quickly made it through all the lesser demons that dared to attack them, and past the main collection of the stench that was bothering Kagirinai. Kage's hair was wild looking, he had been getting into this a little too much. But nothing wrong with that, they hadn't had been playing hooky for a few weeks. It was time that he crack his knuckles, and get things done. As they made there way, he had started to let her lead. He, himself unsure who or what their target was. She seemed to know where she was going, so he followed like a little lost puppy dog. On his guard, he still found times to admire his mate. Smiling to himself, and blinking at his quiet thoughts.

She stopped before a large dead looking tree, the vines that had attacked them before, laid strewn about slamming the hilt of her lance on the ground the vines lurched back, not desiring to be cut by the demonic bladed weapon. She let out an almost animalistic snarl as she leered up at the tree. Her posture was eerily calm, but she was more than a bit furious and resentful, "All of you will pay mark my words, nothing, not even death will stop me from seeing you all pay!" with that she took a deep breath, her wings flaring out as the vines were ordered to strike at them, a pulse of demonic energy made the feathers as hard as diamonds, reflecting their blows, and shimmers of purple flickered through the silky black feathers as she deflected the blows, covering both her and Kage, she then darted forward when she could no longer create the protection, moving lightning fast as she sliced at some of the vines, trying to reduce their numbers before focusing on the large demon tree which refused to speak.

Kage was allow her to do her thing, it was her's to take. He would be there to protect her, and maybe have a little sport for himself. She was actually doing a good job of protecting him, she was on a roll. He powers, and abilities were like no other. She was strong, brave, and had grown in all these things the last couple of weeks. Kage took a different route then she, and headed toward a rather large tree. It's ora gave out a large amount of demon energy, and Kage knew it was next to be dealt with. He waited to see what his mate would do, this was unknown territory for him. He felt like he was the reinforcement for Kagirinai, this was her battle to win. To take revenge, he would only aid in this. He would not steal her glory, but help amplify it!

Kagirinai made quick work of the vines and was soon at Kage's side. "we have to get through his bark, it is thick and rather resilient, his heart is well guarded by this and noxious gas, so we will have to be careful. I am counting on your help dear Kage." She said gently before hearing a deep chuckle come from the tree, she tensed and gripped her lance, ready to fight anything off. The tree's face leered down at Kagirinai, recognizing her scent. "so it seems we missed one of those reached children all those years ago... you look just like your mother before we got a hold of her." he laughed darkly, knowing full well that Kagirinai saw everything.
Her heart rate picked up a little as her eyes narrowed up at the face of the creature. ".... shut up..." she said with a rather dark tone, the things they did to her, she remembered it all, burned into her mind as one of the most scarring parts of her memory. "none of you will will get away with it." she said before beginning her assault, slicing at the tough bark, hundreds of years of existence had made his flesh rather touch and harder than most demons, simply because of what he was, this owld not be easy and would take some time.

Kage glared at the tree, it was trying to use it's harsh words to hurt or anger Kagirinai. He notice her heart beat pick up, and waited as she spoke her words. Once seeing she was going to attack, he followed suit. He too sliced through the tough bark, though he soon realized it would take more then one swipe to end the demon. He went again, dodging vines, and cracking the hard exterior of the old tree. He would not give up, he jumped back. Trying to figure out what to do, shooting a glance at Kagirinai. Maybe she knew the secret to ending the demon, or maybe they were shooting in the dark. Either way they were in it together, and that gave him hope!

"Kagirinai! Back Up!" Kage was over this particular battle, his demon side was raging. He felt a hot spit fire in his chest, and it was about to burst forth. He snapped a sharp look at her, and she had to see the change in his eyes. It was like his imbalance was teetering, he was going to rid this world of this creature that dared stand or for less be an obstetrical in their way. He seen her create an opening for him, and his body snapped. Like something had jerked him, he began to look like he did when he became shadow. But this was different, and then suddenly in the blink of an eye he was gone. Only mist lifted from where he was, but this mist had a red tint to it.
A few moments pasted, as the creature tried to continue it's attack on Kagirinai. Then the loud sound of Kage's voice came from what sounded like inside the creature, he was yelling almost like a battle cry. Then suddenly an explosion came from inside the creature, and cracks quickly spread through it's bark. It's heart had to be demolished in the explosion from within, and as each crack reached the other. The pressure from the explosion blew the creature apart, and there floating where the monster once stood. Was Kage, he was breathing heavily. Like he had just fought a hard battle, his hair looking crazy.
Once he caught his breath, he licked his dry lips. "Come to me!" It wasn't an order, but more of a request. His eyes were just as crazy as his hair.

The crazy eyes and hair, the sharp voice. He was definitely a bit wild and out of control, but it didn't bother her. Kagirinai was not afraid Running a hand through her own hair to straighten it a bit, she flapped her wings casually until she was hovering in front of the crazy eyed demon. She hated the fact that she wasn't strong enough on her own to do this, but also grateful for his help. "yes?.." she asked calmly, a small smile on her soft pale lips. Spear in her right hand as her body relaxed, the death of the demon reassuring.
Her smile grew as her free hand ran through his wild hair. "Not sure what I'd do without you, you're amazing." She had a few cuts and scrapes that were quickly healing, nothing that would cause serious injury. Taking her spear and pointing it downwards, she lunged the blade into the center of the stump that remained. sealing it with her demonic energy, gaze never leaving Kage, she was not afraid.
