So I had an idea, not exactly sure where I should post it, but anyway. So I've been catching up a little on animes and what not and it got me thinking, we should have a list of interesting animes so we can like share and check them out and whatnot. It can be personal favourites, generally good animes, or what got me thinking of this, good animes from some time ago that people might have forgotten about. So I'm going to try to find some and I'll make a list as well as links if I can find reliable sources for the particular mentioned anime. So I was thinking anyone can post, but it would be best if you only make one post and just edit it to add in any new finds so that it will be easier to read through. SO anyway, just any animes you think are good, and maybe a brief description? So yeah, anything really, but older classics are a plus! so my first link: www.soul-anime.tv/ It's a pretty good site, has lots of animes and most (though not all) of their links work. And the first anime for my list the one that got me thnking about this: .hack//Sign A really good anime from some 13 years ago. Kinda the original SOA. IF you haven't seen it, check it out and if you have maybe watch again? Most episodes can be found on youtube. Ghost In A Shell: Stand Alone Complex, probably one of the greatest animes of all time, and imo one of the best tv shows period. Can't find any reliable links though, so if anyone knows where you can find all the episodes in one place let me know! Well other than hulu. It's on there but commercials get annoying after awhile. HunterXHunter: easy to find,it's on Netflix and all, but this is a great anime that not enough people have watched. The 2011 version is better than the original. Same story just much better art. Typical shounen fare, boys become "hunters" and develop fighting powers, and battle other hunters and occasional mythical creature. Made by the same guy who made Yu Yu Hakusho. Pretty awesome battle scenes, has actually given me some ideas, some serious moments, but over all pretty light and whimsical. Until the last arc, but no spoilers. Yu Yu Hakusho: Demon tournaments, spirit detectives, finger-guns and all manner of cool battling. Also a pure classic plain and simple. Full Metal Alchemist The original run and Brotherhood. Obvious I know, but c'mon it's awesome everyone should watch it. Trigun: wacky zany shoot'em up fun in an old westish setting. A good sow if you want something fun and funny, with a dash of adventure. Witch Hunter Robin: There's this girl named Robin, and she hunts witches. Pretty self explanatory. Also she is a witch. Modern setting guns and magic pretty in depth story too.

Kiss anime is a good site to watch anime too. Especially if the ones your looking for is kind of out there- unheard of. Anyway here's a couple more for the list.
Elfen Lied: (My personal favorite) The Diclonius, a mutated homosapien that is said to be selected by God and will eventually become the destruction of mankind, possess two horns on their heads and have a "sixth sense" which gives them telekinetic abilities. Due to this dangerous power, they have been captured and isolated in laboratories by the government. Lucy, a young and psychotic Diclonius, manages to break free of her confines and brutally murders most of the guards in the laboratory where she is being held, only to be shot in the head as she makes her escape. She survives, falling off a cliff into the ocean and manages to drift along to a beach where two teenagers, Kouta and Yuka, discover her. Having lost her memories, she was named after the only thing that she can now say, "Nyuu," and the two allow her to stay at Kouta's home. However, it appears that the psychotic side of Lucy is not dead just yet...
Psycho Pass: ( I have actually cosplayed this one) The series takes place in the near future, when it is possible to instantaneously measure and quantify a person's state of mind and personality. This information is recorded and processed, and the term "Psycho-Pass" refers to a standard used to measure an individual's being. The story centers around the "enforcement officer" Shinya Kougami, who is tasked with managing crime in such a world.
In the future, it is possible to quantitatively measure a person's emotions, desires, and every inclination. In this way, it is also possible to measure a person's criminal tendency factor, which is used to judge criminals.
This is the story of a team of policemen dedicated to maintaining public order. Some of them work in the Enforcement Division, responsible for the apprehension of criminals, while others belong to the Supervisory Division which oversees their colleagues in Enforcement
Psycho Pass 2: Sequel to Psycho pass, takes place a year and a half after the first one
Angel Beats: (beware the sadness) Otonashi awakens only to learn he is dead. A rifle-toting girl named Yuri explains that they are in the afterlife, and Otonashi realizes the only thing he can remember about himself is his name. Yuri tells him that she leads the Shinda Sekai Sensen (Afterlife Battlefront) and wages war against a girl named Tenshi. Unable to believe Yuri's claims that Tenshi is evil, Otonashi attempts to speak with her, but the encounter doesn't go as he intended.
Otonashi decides to join the SSS and battle Tenshi, but he finds himself oddly drawn to her. While trying to regain his memories and understand Tenshi, he gradually unravels the mysteries of the afterlife.
Pandora Hearts: (although this anime is good, I highly recommend you read the manga first, it is far superior and much much longer)
Oz Vessalius, heir to one of the duke houses, has just turned fifteen. His life is rich and carefree, darkened only by the constant absence of his father. At his coming-of-age ceremony, however, everything changes. For no reason that he can discern, he's cast into the prison known as the "Abyss", only to be saved by a "chain" known as Alice, the bloodstained black rabbit. It is unknown why was he cast into Abyss, how does Alice factor into it all, and what does the organization known as "Pandora" want with him
Hellsing Ultimate: Hellsing, a secret organization of the British government, has long been battling supernatural threats to keep the people safe from creatures of the night. The current leader, Integra Wingates Hellsing controls her own personal army to eliminate the undead beings, but even her highly trained soldiers pale in comparison to her most trusted vampire exterminator, a man by the name of Alucard, who is actually a powerful vampire himself. Along with Integra's mysterious butler and Alucard's new vampire minion, Seras Victoria, The Hellsing Organization must face not only regular ghouls and vampires, but a rivaling secret organization from the Vatican, and Millennium, an enigmatic group of madmen spawned by a certain war over 50 years ago...
A bloody battle between monsters is about to begin, the dead are dancing, and all hell is singing...
Mirai Nikki: This psychological thriller, based on the manga written and illustrated by Sakae Esuno, is about Yuki, a loner who's not very good with people. He prefers to write a diary on his cell phone and talk to his imaginary friend, Deus Ex Machina – The God of Time and Space. However, Yuki soon learns that Deus is more than a figment of his imagination when he makes Yuki participate in a battle royale with eleven others. The contestants are given special diaries that can predict the future, each diary possessing unique features that give it both advantages and disadvantages. Within the next 90 days, the contestants must try to survive until there is only one left standing. The winner will become the new God of Time and Space.
Soul Eater: (not exactly in my list but it still deserves to be up here) Set in the Shinigami technical school for weapon meisters, the series revolves around 3 groups of each a weapon meister and a human weapon. Trying to make the latter a "Death Scythe" which is the highest title for a weapon and thus fit for use by the Shinigami, they must collect the souls of 99 evil humans and 1 witch.
Maka & Soul Eater, Black Star & Tsubaki, and Death the Kid with Patty and Liz Thompson are the characters Soul Eater revolves around. Besides taking the time to gather souls, these students of Shibusen defend Death City from some of the most powerful of creatures while still attending school and trying to become stronger.
Paradise Kiss: (again not in my list. This is more of the type you'd watch with someone you love) Yukari is a typical high-school student who listens to her parents and attends school everyday. As she starts to question her way of life, she encounters a group of fashion design students who have a clothing label known as "Paradise Kiss". The group needs to find a model to showcase their designs in an up-coming fashion show and decides to pick Yukari. Initially, Yukari is reluctant to be associated with this seemingly eccentric group, but eventually she realises they are really nice people. Furthermore, their passion and enthusiasm to follow their ideals and dreams make Yukari realise that she has not been enjoying her life and thus motivates her to pursue her own dreams. The story follows Yukari as she gets involved in the group and eventually falls in love with the leader, George.
Vampire Knight: Cross Academy is an elite boarding school with two separate, isolated classes: the Day Class and the Night Class. On the surface, Yuuki Cross and Zero Kiryuu are prefects of the academy, and attempt to keep order between the students as classes rotate in the evenings. As the night class is full of utterly gorgeous elites, this can sometimes prove to be a bit difficult. It is completely necessary, however, as those "elites" are actually vampires. Yuuki and Zero act as guardians, protecting the secrets of the Night Class and the safety of the ignorant day class.
As the adopted daughter of the academy's chairman, Yuuki takes her job with a serious and energetic attitude. It also allows her to interact with her secret crush and savior, the night class' dorm president, Kaname Kuran. Zero, on the other hand, has a deep-rooted hatred against vampires, and at times, does not hesitate to kill.
Can vampires and humans co-exist, even in the strict setup of the Cross Academy? Only time will tell.
Vampire Knight Guilty: As a direct continuation of the first season, Zero comes back after his disappearance from the academy. Despite her relief, Yuuki, whose past is still shrouded in mystery, wonders what exactly happened to Zero during the separation. As Zero continues having the strange vision that appeared since the day he drank Kaname’s blood, he visits the now awakened Maria Kurenai in an attempt to find answers. She only provides him with a cryptic answer that suggests who the true enemy really might be.
In the meantime, vampires from the Supreme Vampire Council arrive at the academy in order to punish Zero with death for his sin of killing a pureblood. However, Kaname intervenes with the council's decision with not only the intention of saving Zero but with another purpose unbeknown to everyone around him.
Rurouni Kenshin: Himura Kenshin is a vagabond with a dark past and sunny disposition. Not a ronin but a rurouni, he was never a samurai, but an assassin of utmost skill in the Meiji restoration, who in the turning point of the war simply walked away. His travels lead him to Tokyo in the 11th year of the Meiji era, where he befriends a female Kendo master, a former thief, a brawler and a doctor all with their own secrets. Together they fight off the enemies surfacing from the dark past that Kenshin cannot escape.
