Name: Voël
Alias/Nicknames: N/A
Gender: Male
Race: Demon
Age: Exact age unknown - Appears to be in mid-twenties
Personality: Insane and violent, but the two are not directly related. Voël went insane in his lifetime as a human, and the craziness carried over into his demonic existence. He is not irrational or excessively violent (excessive being a relative term, as he is a demon), but he fully believes that he is not truly an existing being. He often refers to "Directors" or "Narrators" when he speaks, and he treats each situation as if the outcome has already been decided, or as though he were not actually in any danger. He punctuates some statements with, "After all, it's not like I'm really here."
Appearance: Voël's appearance often changes. At night, when he is using his Diàn, his eyes and veins will become illuminated, as visible in the darkness as neon. He normally looks like an average young man, with a few features remaining from his original body, before becoming a demon. His hair is jet black, with long spiked bangs, short-cropped sides, and a long ponytail that grows from the back of his neck. His eyes are solid black, with silver circles in his irises, and luminous blue-white pupils. His skin is lightly tanned, and as thick as leather, although considerably smoother. He has Asian features, although they deviate in several distinct ways. His nose and his chin are stronger than typically seen, and his mouth opens farther than would be guessed from his lip size. His "normal" mouth is typical, usually set in a light smirk. However, at any time it might open further, like a human who has their cheeks cut to the jaw. His teeth are essentially identical to a humans, with only slightly sharper canines than usual. His tongue is long and forked, and his ears are slightly pointed. While not immediately noticeable when bare-chested, Voël lacks a navel, as his current body wasn't "born" in such a way that would result in one. His feet are identical to those imagined on a dragon, having only three large, clawed toes.
Clothing/Armor: Normally, Voël wears simple clothes. His normal outfit consists of black Iga leggings, a sleeveless blue kimono, and leg and arm wrappings, which often have to be replaced, as they will burn with continued Diàn use.
History: The human who would eventually become Voël has been forgotten by history, his name never recorded, his story never told. Voël himself has forgotten his first name, not that he cared much during his time in the abyss. The demon can, however, remember the basic details of his life in flesh. The warrior was born during the Han Dynasty in China, and led the life of a skilled, noble warrior. As a wealthy fighter, Voël could afford greater quality weapons and armor. His sword, a well-made blade for the time, was such a focal point in his life that Voël fashioned all of his weapons after it. The red cord that wrapped the hilt was often darkened to a near-black shade of crimson, from the spilled blood of his enemies. After a certain point, the warrior found himself fighting whenever possible, simply for the joy of combat. It got to the point where Voël would seek out solitary peasants and drawing his sword on them. When he was removed from the army for his bloodlust, his mind snapped, and he was locked away. The man would die in an asylum, and Voël would form from the remains of his consciousness soon after.
While he grew accustomed to his newfound freedom, his lack of physical limitations and his clarity of thought, Voël spend most of his time on the other side. He developed a comfort with himself, and fondly remembered the many battles he had participated in as a human. Even after forgetting his name, Voël had sharp, vivid memories of combat.
And so time passed, Voël lost his sense of the passage of time in the afterlife, until he felt a strong call to manifest himself on Earth. So, gathering his senses, Voël made himself a body to inhabit. When he reached his new home, Voël was interested in his body, which was stronger than his fuzzy recollection indicated. He was eager to begin his exploration of the vastly changed world, and he equipped himself to do so.
After finding himself in Japan, Voël wondered if he might have been slightly off in his aim. He supposes that, from the other side, it might have been an easy mistake to make. After a few days, he fully absorbed the language of his new home, and the acclimation was successful. Sort of. He still stood out as a demon, and his need to kill made him a bit of a menace to the humans.

Allies: It is unknown if any of his friends remain alive, but even if they were, they wouldn't recognize the demon he has become. So, he needs to find some more, if only to avoid going crazy. Well, crazier.
Enemies: Unknown. The humans he terrorizes certainly don't like him, but they're more like pests than enemies.
Occupation: N/A
Weapons: Han Jian - Han Sword
Abilities: Electrokinesis is the scientific term for Voël's favorite ability. However, he usually refers to it simply as "Diàn." He can generate a charge within his body, and release it in a manner similar to that of lightning generated from the atmosphere. His preferred use of this technique is to use his Han Jian as a conductor, and send large amounts of electricity directly into something interesting. Trees, rocks, people... Different objects react differently to having massive amounts of electricity forced into them.
In addition to his Diàn, Voël is an accomplished swordsman, and he has the expected demonic abilities, far surpassing those of a human. He also has a limited ability to levitate, rising into the air quickly, but unable to maintain flight for more than a few moments.
