Inuyasha Analogies
Yes, they do exist! But first off, what is an analogy? Let us check the dictionary...
a·nal·o·gy (-nl-j)
n. pl. a·nal·o·gies
Similarity in some respects between things that are otherwise dissimilar.
A comparison based on such similarity. See likeness.
analogy
n 1: an inference that if things agree in some respects they probably agree in others 2: drawing a comparison in order to show a similarity in some respect; "the operation of a computer presents and interesting analogy to the working of the brain"; "the models show by analogy how matter is built up"
Yes, now that we are all enlightened... analogies are those annoying things you often find on English tests that read "Salt is to pepper as fire is to ______" and then you are given some bizarre choices that make no sense to anyone whatsoever, like "salt is to pepper as fire is to a. boomerang b. house c. your mother d. Billy."
Anyway, you can make analogies out of anything. They're handy to have around in case of the need to invent one at random in English class, so why not have a few pertaining to Inuyasha? Feel free to email in your own, or post them up on the message boards (that way I don't have to sort through my email!).
Inuyasha is to dog as Naraku is to baboon.
Rin is to cute as Sesshomaru is to drop dead sexy.
Kagome is to present as Inuyasha is to past.
Kikyo is to dead as Kagome is to alive.
Rin is to young as Kaede is to ancient.
Red is to Inuyasha as green is to Kagome.
Maple tree is to Kaede as female dog is to Inuyasha.
Miroku is to perverted as Inuyasha is to stubborn.
Hanyou is to Inuyasha as youkai is to Kouga.
Miroku is to pervert as Myoga is to coward.
Kagura is to wind as Hiten is to lightning.
Yes... Angel totally arrived this. Why? Because there's never enough you can do to improve your writing skills! What's the real reason? There's too much time in the day!
