"Hm, you're right. Though it doesn't mean that she may not be the embodiment of her," Keera said, giving back the picture after looking at it. "I somewhat believe in reincarnation, and it would sort of make sense."

"I wouldn't go that far, maybe Kaori just really cares about him and doesn't like the fact that he's sentenced to die," Michi said and Kaori looked at her, a small smile on her face.

"She's right, you know," Kaori whispered. It seemed broken in a way though, as if Michi wasn't right at all.

She's your sainty. Keera heard in her head and looked at Darryl again. but does it mean she's attracted to the people you would be attracted to if you were as sane as her? she heard and Keera looked away quickly and took a deep breath. Enough of that, let's get to business and back to work.

"Back to the charm," Keera said reaching into her pocket and bringing out the little charm. It lay flat on her palm, and she held it toward Darryl. "I was told to give it to you, for you try to fix everyone. Apparently if it works for you, it should work to free them as well, whatever that means. I assume she means the insigna, not the part where you and Necrolon are together."

"This is the charm that Lilith gave you?" Darryl asked as he looked at it. "Did she give any specific instructions on how to use it, or if it even has a chance of working?" he added.

"WHERE IS IT?!" Maltheus' voice roared through the Citadel. The green-eyed Lilith was on a stretching rack, naked and with several gashes on her body. "WHO DID YOU GIVE IT TO?!" Maltheus roared and a black claw came form his cloak and slashed her. The green-eyed Lilith let out a shriek and the claw grabbed her by the throat. "I'm not going to ask you again.....where.....is it?" he asked while approaching her, his voice drenched with venom. "I.....I can't tell you," the green-eyed Lilith's voice broke woth every word. But I know someone who can... an all-too-familiar voice rang through her head. "Please....no...." she pleaded, but to no avail. She closed her eyes, the gashes on her body healed and she opened her eyes. They were deep violet again. "She gave the charm to Keera, then let her go," Lilith's voice said. "What?" Maltheus said and released his grip on her. "Would you like me to go and retrieve it?" Lilith asked. "That won't be nessicary," a voice off to the side said. A maskless avatar approached Maltheus, but her face was hidden by the shadows. "Send me, I can get it back," she said and put her mask on. "Very well, just get it and come right back," he said. "Do you wish for me to kill the boy while I'm at it?" she asked. Maltheus turned around. "Not yet, we'll toy with him a little longer..." he said.

"No, she didn't," Keera sighed. "I think she expected you to know. She just said that if it worked, you may be able to save the rest of them. Seperate them from their other selves. For instance me from Lamia." But do you really want to get rid of this new power? a voice in her head asked, but it wasn't Lamia. Yes, I do. I've never needed it before, I sure as hell don't now. "Here," she said after the moment's hesitation, and put the charm in his hand.

"Well, she was wrong, I have no idea how to use this thing," Darryl said, turning it over. "And it doesn't even come with instructions," he added. "Oh, well. I'm sure we'll figure it out soon," he said. "In the meantime, I've kinda' always wanted to see Japan," he said, his face lighting up a bit.

"Okay, well, I should hold onto it I think," Keera said, taking it back before he could put it away. "Just as a precaution."

"Just as a precaution, maybe we should bring it to the only place where they can't go," Kaori said and Keera looked at the charm, then to Kaori, and passed it to her. Kaori grabbed it and ran water from one hand to the other, over the charm and stuck it in her mouth. "I don't think they'd think of this either." She said and stuck her tongue out. It didn't appear to be in her mouth. Keera's eyes almost popped out of her head. and they say that I'm insane... she thought and shook her head.

"She has a point," Izuki said and looked into the sky from the shadows. "How long until sunset?"

"Fairly soon," Nikko said and yawned. "I should go back with someone."

"Yes, I'll go with you," Atokata said and Kaori walked to the portal. They disappeared through it and Kaori came back by herself.

"To clear that up," she said to Darryl. "Nikko loses her powers when the sun goes down, Atokata's power raises, but it doesn't fully go away like Nikko's."

"What part of Japan would you like to see most?" Keera asked turning to Darryl with a smile. "i've been everywhere in the past, and most of Japan in the now."

"I'm not even gonna ask how you did that," Darryl said after Kaori's display. "Anyway, I guess that depends on where we are, are we near Tokyo Tower?" Darryl asked. "I've heard it's got a great veiw of the city at night," he added.

Kaori smiled and shrugged. "We could be there in a few minutes," Keera said and Sora smiled and twirled, raising herself into the air and floated toward Michi. Michi sighed and stayed put while Sora started braiding small bits of her hair. Izuki cleared her throat and Sora looked up, dropping one of the braides. "We should go to be there by sunset, the view really is spectacular," Keera said and waved everybody to follow her. "C'mon."

~At The Tower~
"Going up?" Sora asked with a giddy smile. Izuki smiled and walked into the elevator last. Once they were up at the top, the sun had almost disappeared, and Izuki stood behind Owari as they walked toward the window to get a better look.

"Woah......check it out," Darryl said at the sight. The entire city was lit up with a faintly lit sky in the background. "View's incredible.......no sirens, no screaming, no gunfire, nothing," he added. "Can't get a quiet view like this where I come from,"

"I've rarely managed to live in a place that was quiet and peaceful, it's nice to get away once in a while," keera said and smiled. "It's not often I get up here either."

The sun went behind the buildings and Izuki came out of hiding to look around. She put her hood down and finally revealed what she looked like. Her hair was a white as snow, almost like her face which was perfectly smooth. Her eyes were dark crimson with small bright red designs. Her eyes slowly moved to Darryl, waiting patiently for him to look at her so she could gleam her fangs at him.

Darryl, by chance, happened to look Izuki's way and caught sight of her fangs. "Whoa, that's new," he said. Darryl had seen a great deal of weird things, so not too much surprised him anymore. "You're not gonna bite me, are you?" he asked.

Izuki's smile widened and her fangs were literal pearly white. "Of course not, I'm not hungry enough just yet," she said and looked at the sinking coloured sky. "What's Necrolon's reason to stay out of the sun? You seemed pretty surprised to see me, so it can't be vampirism."

"I never did figure that out and I'm pretty sure he doesn't know either. I guess it could be a character flaw or something like that," Darryl said. "She.....would've liked this," he added, looking over the horizon again.

"A character flaw," Keera smiled and shook her head. "No, everything is here for a reason. Even though the gods may want you dead, there's a reason for you both here right now, just like there's a reason I've been back here on this planet so many times. I was born here, but I belong in a different dimension... but that's a story for another time..." Keera said with a sigh.

Kaori watched the sunset and looked at Darryl only when he said 'she' and frowned. "She would have, yes, but you're even lucky to see it. If it weren't for Necrolon, you wouldn't have, and we wouldn't know what we're up against or how to defeat it."

"I have a question," Michi said and everyone looked at her. "If you were with them, how did you get away?"

"If you're referring to Necrolon, he didn't give me all the details. Guess there are some things about himself that are painful to bring up," Darryl said. "He didn't say why he joined them exactly, only that he did it out of devotion to someone. You could try asking him next time he emerges, but I doubt he'll be willing to say anything,"

"The only female there that I can tell is Lilith. If he was devoted to her, I don't want to know why unless it was the good part of her," Keera said. "And she's damn scared."
