Darryl complied and stepped to the middle of the room. "Thank you for taking the time to hear me out," Darryl said. "Objection!" one god spoke up. "She has no business being at this hearing!" Darryl turned around to see Keera behind him. "Keera was never forbidden from coming with him, therefore, she is not at fault for being present," another god spoke back. The objecting god sighed. "Objection withdrawn," he said. "On to the matter at hand, Darryl Dandridge, you have been allowed an audience with us to give us a good reason why you should continue to exist even though you had recently joined the departed," a feminine-voiceed god said. "It's to my understanding that you don't allow this sort of thing to happen unless there's a good reason. I have one," Darryl said. "Oh then please, do tell us what it is," the objecting god said. "I have to stop Maltheus from finding the Gates od Obilvion," Darryl said. Several gods started murmuring to each other. "Silence," a basso-voiced god addressed the other gods. "How do you know about those gates?" he asked.

"Thank you," Keera replied to both gods as one who defended her being there and the other one for withdrawing his objection. Kill him before he does, is more like it. I don't think there are many other ways of stopping him. Keera thought, and was brought back when one of the gods had hushed the now murmuring group of disbelieving gods.
Oh please, Keera thought, not realizing her thoughts had become enough for everyone to hear. Even I know about them now. As she stopped thinking, she heard her voice echoing back to her, and she mentally, quietly cursed herself. Smart move, Keera, she thought, and this time it was to herself. "Sorry," she muttered. This was just as much about Darryl as it was her, but the gods didn't really know that yet, or at least she assumed they didn't know.

"One Demon Lord that I fought mentioned them before I killed him. I will admit that I don't know anything about them, and the Demon Lord wasn't exactly in a talking mood," Darryl said. "If this human knows about the gates, that's reason enough to have him killed where he stands!" the objecting god said. "I would highly advise against that, if you kill me, then you lose your best chance at stopping them!" Darryl challenged. "Then tell us what makes you so special, human?" the objecting god asked. "How much do any of you know about the Seven Demon Lords?" Darryl asked. The gods started looking at each other and murmuring. "Regretably, not as much as we would like to," the feminie-voiced god said. "Since their release and the end of the second world war, they have not been very forthcoming about their plans as far as we can tell,"

"Then maybe it's a good thing I came in here," Keera said after the feminine sounding god spoke. "I'm not sure if you were paying attention," she continued, "but apparently I'm on my way to being one."
Lamia, my dear inhabitant, would you mind speaking? Keera thought, regretting it. Just sort of to prove it. I also want to talk to you later about something. The idea was forming in her head, about her and Lamia, but she stopped it right away. She didn't want Lamia prepared for her question or proposed conversation.
The girls waited outside and some of them wished they would have come in. It had only been a few moments but they felt like they were missing so much already. "Think we could just walk in now?"
"No, they've already begun their discussion."
"Know something I've wondered since Keera got back into her own self?" Michi asked, which brought everyone's attention to her. "Is how they remade her body so well, with the obvious factor that she's only partly from this dimension."
"She is?" Sora asked. No one really knew where her real line of ancestors came from on her father's side. She was half from this world, and half from another. She was only here because, well, no one knew that either. People also believed that Keera wasn't really sure why or how it happened.
And they were right.
"She only met her grandfather twice. Once before one of the people from her other dimension killed her, hence the reason she's so famous from the One Day War. Her grandfather led them into that war, and she was completely obliterated, nothing left of her, and yet somehow she was returned her body after a hundred years of rebuilding it. I want to know how they made it again."
"Could they have taken matter from that other dimension?"
"Her grandfather would have been involved. He would have needed to be, she's a part of him."
"Maybe more than she realizes now," Michi said and looked at the veil. "She may be more of a daughter now than a grand-daughter."
"You think?" Kaminari said and Michi nodded.
"Well it makes sense," Michi said. "Her real father is dead, so is her mother, so she's probably not even half and half anymore. Kaori may have played a part for their mother's genes though, but that's about all she could do."
"Because Kaori is, unfortunately for how pure she is, she's part of Naraku too," Michi said and Sora's eyes nearly popped out of her head. "Sora don't you pay attention? We were around when Keera's father killed their mother over it. Don't forget we knew about this, Nanata was part of us, which is why Keera and Kaori are with us now."
"Michi, why do you let Keera be the leader?"
"Publicity," Michi lied and everyone got the hint to stop talking. Their gaze eventually all landed at the veil again in anticipation.

Music to my ears.... Lamia's voice rang. Keera closed her eyes. "Yes, we are aware of you're.....predicament," one god said. "Unfortunately, it's out of our hands until we have a better idea of what we're up against," the god finished. "Oh, I can give you an idea," Keera's voice was resonating. Keera's eyes opened and they had become yellow snake eyes. "Keera! What is the meaning of this!?" the objecting god demanded. "Careful! That's not Keera!" Darryl warned. "Astute little boy," Lamia's voice had replaced Keera's. "So this is the second time you and I have seen face to face," Lamia cooed at Darryl.
(Gotta end the post there, damn writer's block)

(( No problem. I'll figure something out. ))
Keera sat patiently in wait as the gods spoke, and felt Lamia move into her consciousness. She heard Lamia speak and a god start get angry. She let Lamia have some time before she started pushing back up. Lamia Keera cooed. Are you sure you don't know what Lilith wanted? She could still see through her eyes and hear Lamia and everyone else. She at least wanted that for now.

Yes, I'm sure Lamia said. She just said that she wanted to speak with you, never gave me the details Lamia faded back into Keera's subconscionus. Keera's eyes became her own again. "There, now do you see how serious this is?" Darryl said to the gods. "The demon lords seem to think that Keera's the means to open these gates they're looking for," Darryl continued. "And I get the feeling that there's another reason that you wanted me dead again, isn't there?" he asked. The objecting god spoke up. "The ulterier reason is that we wouldn't want human coming back to life," he said. "Is that all?" Darryl said, his voice raising. "It was all because I'm human, was that it?!" he demanded. "Try to understand, Darryl," the feminine-voiced god said. "This may not come as a surprise to you, but human beings do not have the most favorable reputation,"

Thanks, Lamia, Keera thought as she resurfaced and regained control. "Quite serious," Keera echoed behind Darryl. "I think getting my real body back was also something that helped their decision. It'll probably be easier now." She listened to the gods speak, and thought it was one of the most ridiculous reasons to have him wiped out. "If you want to get technical, he didn't die. He was inhabited by another being as he was dying." She snorted when she heard the feminine-voiced god speak. "No being with a brain, humans, demons, so on, have had a very good reputation. For while, I didn't either."

"That is true, Keera, but you improved your demeanor," another god spoke. "Humans, on the other hand, have had ample opprotunity to do the same, yet they have only gotten progressively worse," the god continued. "You're only looking at one side of human beings," Darryl said. "Take a look at all the other things that have happened, like that hurricane in Louisiana, the earthquake in Haiti, even humanitarian efforts in third-world countries," Darryl pointed out. "Oh yes, a shining example of how it takes a catastrophe to get you to care about each other," the objecting god challenged. "The bottom line is that humans are materialistic, crude, perverse, violent, and above all untrustworthy," the god continued. "That's not fair," a calm-voiced god spoke. "You can't hold the faults of a whole over one individual,"
(Noticed the change in font coloring. Did you get promoted? lol)

Keera nodded when Darryl spoke, but she was getting frustrated. She needed Darryl, but she didn't want to say that was the reason she was trying to help keep him alive. "Again, he's not just human. He's more than that. Besides, we're not here to decide the fate of the human race by their faults, we're talking about one person, and whether he's done anything worth staying with the living." She had to confess though, she had no idea about his past or whether he even did anything heroic to earn his place on Earth.
How are you girls holding up out there? We're not getting very far in here, Keera said to the girls outside with her mind. We seem to be having trouble getting the blame of the human world off of Darryl in here.
The girls all looked at each other, and closed their eyes. Keera, please tell us you think there's a chance you two are both walking out of there. Kaminari said and there was a sigh on the other end.
I'm not sure yet.
((Yeah actually lol. I was already up there, I just needed one more part to be in complete control. Thankfully Mini trusts me enough to work on the site in her absense. I've wanted to for almost a year now lol.))

"Keera's right," the basso-voiced god said. "We have gone too far off topic. Now let's focus on the matter at hand," he continued. "You say that you're reason is that you wish to stop these demon lords, correct?" the basso-voiced god asked. "Yes, that's my reason, just give me a chance and I'll stop them, and I'll be discreet," Darryl said. "You detonated a nuclear device over the Pacific Ocean!" the objecting god spoke up. "I would hardly call that discreet," he finished.
Darryl shook his head lightly. "I didn't have a lot of room for finesse, and that reaper wasn't going down without a fight. If there had been other options, I'd have considered them," Darryl said. "Besides, all it did was EMP Hawaii and several small islands. I'd say that's a small price to pay considering millions of people would have died if it had landed," Darryl said.

Keera nodded once in agreement, his logic was good. Now it was time to add her reason that he should be allowed to stay. "I'm sure you are aware of the problem at hand," she said and looked around. "These demon lords are trying to take over or destroy the planet, and something has to be done. As far as knowledge goes, it seems to me that Darryl knows the most about them. Seeing as I am about to become one, I'd sort of like to know a different means of getting rid of the inhabitant other than killing the host. However if that proves to be impossible, I guess I'm out again. As long as I take a number of them out with me, I'm willing to go that route as well. Darryl would be a very large help in the disposing of these demons." She paused a moment thought about the possibilities of such a feat, and the aftermath of it. "It could also be a way of... proving his worthiness to stay amoung the living."

"If I may speak?" the feminine-voiced god said. "Go ahead," the basso-voiced god said. "Darryl's logic and reason behind one of his more defining acts I have to say is justified and sensible. Had that weapon landed anywhere it would have led to an environmental catastrophe," she explained. "Moreover, Keera's proposition is intruiging. If what she says is true, and this boy can stop them, I'd say he's worth keeping around," she finished.
The basso-voiced god growled in thought. "I admit I am curious as well. When humans have power, they seek to use it, often for personal gain, yet this boy hasn't abused the abilities this demon granted him. If he can stop whatever these demon lords are planning, I think is an asset worth keeping. Those in favor?" his eyes glowed followed by several other gods, until the objecting god sighed and made his eyes glow, a unanimous vote. "Very well, it's decided, Darryl Dandrige, you are permitted to continued your self-appointed task, on the condition that you take full responsibility for any actions of your own doing," the basso-voiced god decreed.
"I'm honored, and thank you," Darryl said with a bow.

Keera sighed, both out loud and to the girls. What's going on Keera? Kaminari asked anxiously. Then there was a small laugh. Keera? No response.
Keera listened to the baso-voiced god speak, and called for those in favour. She watched as, one by one, each god agreeing to let him live. Intense relief fell over her entire being, and as the god spoke again, freeing Darryl of the death sentence on his head, a grand, genuine smile spread across her face. YES!!!! she screamed through the hall to the girls, and every one of them let go some sort of breath or tenseness that had consumed their bodies.
Keera's smile never left as she bowed in unison with Darryl. His death sentence had been just as much hers. She took a slow, deep breath, and let it out just as slow. Then she thought of her job, and lifted her head to the gods. "If I may ask, what time is it in the city?" If it was too much past eleven, she was late and probably in trouble.

"Uh, my watch says it's about ten-twenty three," Darryl siad looking at his watch, obviously. "Don't worry, Keera, we know about your other engagement, we didn't plan on keeping you here long," the feminine-voiced god said. "Now if you have no more business here, you may leave," she finished. Darryl and Keera left the god's antechamber and were greeted by Keera's entourage.
(Keera, if you haven't seen the movie 'Insideous' yet. BE CAREFUL! Despite it's rating, that movie is not for the faint of heart. But if you're looking for a good laugh, I would suggest the movie 'Paul', that one was stupid funny.)
